wow, very nice ressort hotel. We spent the real holidays there andforgot daily life.
Great view and beach. Bad food in the buffet and drinks are not good at all. Our rooms are clean and spacious. People are nice but they don't serve us in common areas. The Access to the hotel is Horrible with no streets. Not all restaurants are for everyone. There is a lot of national tourist and the staff doesn't do too much to well serve people. The show eatis bad. 6 dancers danced 4 songs. The presenters were great! I don't recommend this place. It is not worth it.
Even thoug it is located in the Caribbean the food is not natural no natural juice and the food is not good at all. The accessibility is terrible, the maintenance should be better. People are very nice, the view is beautiful, the weather was good, the beach is good, the rooms are good. The drink is not good
Excelente lugar y de perfil netamente familiar o de pareja (no joven), buenos restaurantes y vinos , buena atención, habitaciones con buenas vistas y equipadas . Lo único no tan Bueno es que de noche si la gente es joven le falta parranda, por eso justamente es excelente en plan familiar o de pareja en plan relax tranquilo.
Muy agradable, las playas son muy limpias, hermosas, el agua es súper cristalina; la atención del personal es genial. Se ven iguanas grandes como mapaches al lado de la playa. Deliciosa la comida y variedad en platos.
Sino quiere arruinar sus vacaciones, NO venga a éste hotel. De lo malo, lo peor. Tenemos pagas 5 noches y a la segunda noche nos fuimos. Empecemos: *Llegar hasta el hotel es todo una odisea, el camino está en muy malas condiciones, si no es en camioneta o autobús no puede pasar. Un auto mediano se pierde entre los pozos . *Al ingresar, la habitación no estaba pronta, x lo cual fuimos a tomar algo al snack bar, nos tuvimos q servir nosotros el hielo de una conservadora y la gaseosa de una botella. Para comer unas hamburguesas re calentadas. *Los restaurantes a la carta, solo de noche y con reserva en la mañana Ahí también el servicio es malo y la comida peor. *El hotel es muy grande y para ir de la habitación a la playa, tiene q caminar varias cuadras *Le falta mantenimiento a todo el complejo. LE REPITO, NO ARRUINE SUS VACACIONES EN ÉSTE LUGAR
Staff is great. Food is bad, and the bar distribution is terrible, had to stay in lines all the time I was trying to get a drink.
Best all inclusive in Cartagena. The staff attention is very caring ando dedicated. The natural environment is gorgeous!!!
If you are contemplating the idea of booking a vacation at Decameron, Barú, read this! Staying in this place has been the worse experience for me, my husband and some friends. We booked a whole week, however, we couldn’t take to stay in this boring, cheap place any longer and decided to leave after 3 days. The food was OK in the buffet area, however, the “Italian”, “Asian” and “Seafood” restaurants are a joke. In regards to entertainment, what they call shows, don’t exist (cancellations) or are low quality. The employees do their best to entertain the guests but they don’t have the resources or proper training to deliver quality. The común areas are boring, not even music or…..NOTHING! On our way out of this prison, other clients were commenting about their bad experience and how some also ended their stay before time. Only my husband and I paid close to $2,000 and our friends even more as they reserved in the “exclusive” area. Of course, we did not get a penny back. This was the worst, expensive and bad experience! They practically stole our money! I requested at least part of my money back but all I received was this standard response: “Todos nuestros hoteles cuentan con un programa amplio de recreación dirigido a adultos y niños, dichas actividades se dan a lugar en los diferentes escenarios del hotel, con el fin de acompañar el desarrollo y avance de sus vacaciones, también ,para nuestros visitantes mayores como para los más pequeños de la familia, sinceramente lamentamos no haber cumplido con sus expectativas, asimismo, se socializó con el área encargada, para revisar sus importantes comentarios, con el fin de determinar lo ocurrido y tomar los correctivos que den a lugar.” Which translates to thanks for your feedback, we won’t do anything about it, ah! and money back?..forget it! Excelente servicio, comida y atención.Tiene de todo en muchos niveles. Yo no soy huésped recurrente. No soy socio. No pertenezco al club seguro por eso me a tocado algo lejos de la playa y del restaurante principal. Pero la experiencia ha sido muy buena. Lo que si creo que deben mejorar es en dar mejor explicación del manejo de las recervas de los diferentes restaurantes y demás actividades.
Lindo hotel aunque algo descuidado, pero no sería lo peor...lo peor es la gente que está en recepción, tuve problemas con la habitación que ellos ocasionaron y lejos de solucionarlo lo iban empeorando y nunca se les cayó una disculpa...el que solucionó todo fue el botones que todos ellos son más que amables y atentos pero los del mostrador dejan mucho que desear. Realmente lo único que salva al hotel es la playa. No volvería
Aun no llego a Decameron Barú y ya me siento mortificado con su atención necesito comunicarme con alguien que dé solución al problema con mi cambio de reserva, por favor brindar un correo o en su defecto comunicarse conmigo es increíble que me digan que todo el hotel está lleno, no quiero pensar que sobre venden sus estadías. Estoy a mas de un mes de viajar y no me pueden contestar eso, encima ya se realizó el pago.
Not a five start resort. The beaches are beautiful and hotel as well. The servicE is horrible. When you pay the plus does not make the difference. People who pay the day pass have the same access. You have to wait in lines to get cocktails, 15 minutes waiting to get a cocktail of bad quality. The breakfast, lunch, dinner are of poor quality and full. The servers where not happy, making them not provide good service. People were touching the food and coughing around it. The internet is horrible, barely get any signal, you have to be in the lobby to get service. To eat at restaurants, you have to make the reservation the day before. The quality of food at restaurants is poor as well as the service. There are better five star hotels and for a better price in Baru
Excellent service. The only thing I would not recommend is buying services like tours from vendors on the beach, scammers or will get ripped off. Buy everything from the hotel, you will thank me later. Can't stress enough about it.
Posiblemente el mejor hotel de la cadena Decameron. Las habitaciones son muy amplias y cómodas. Me gustó mucho la variedad de veleros disponibles. La comida en los diferentes restaurantes es deliciosa. Las piscinas gigantescas. Muy recomendado.
Bom hotel. Custo X benefício não muito bom. Há melhores na região. Obs: hotel fica muito longe de Cartagena e há um trecho de estradade chão muito ruim (maior percurso da viagem). Cuidado no retorno para não perder vôo de volta.
Lindo lugar, buen servicio aunque un poco lento, esta calificado como hotel 5 estrellas pero aun me parece que le falta, lahabitación que me asignaron hermosa vista al mar eso lo tuvieron en cuenta y eso habla bien de la vocación de servicio, pero el aseo pésimo el closeth estaba lleno de polvo como si hace meses no lo limpiaran, la puerta de acceso a la habitación tenía las manos pintadas de las personas q la ocuparon antes. Por lo demás bien buena comida y lindo lugar.

Amei o resort! Piscinas grandes, tudo limpinho...o quarto é enorme com uma linda varanda para o mar... muitas atividades com recreadores para crianças e adultos. O mar em frente ao hotel é excelente! Passei por vários resorts no Brasil e não vi nenhum com um serviço de praia tão bom!
Bom no Clima, mas péssimo no relacionamento com os hóspedes. Exploram os Turistas é sempre a ir ao bolso dos hóspedes. Wifi a pagar e péssimo.
Encantador, lugar paradisíaco, ambiente familiar, praia limpa e segura, quartos grandes, piscina maravilhosa e excelente atendimento !

Excelente resort para viagem em família, casal , amigos ou até mesmo só. Localização boa para quem quer descansar da rotina. Eu fui a Cartargena das Índias 2 dias. Cidade patrimônio histórico e cultural da UNESCO. Maravilhosa!!! Compras e muito agito!!! Viajei com minha filha. A equipe de suporte e segurança é excelente. A manutenção precisou ser chamada e foi rápida no atendimento. Os colaboradores são educados e bem prestativos. Alegres. A alimentação saudável e gostosa. Além do restaurante self service há 4 restaurantes a la carte. Equipe de recreação infantil juvenil e adulto são excelentes. E o café colombiano é delicioso!!!
Adorei tudo. Lugar lindo , limpíssima. Praia maravilhosa. Os funcionários são muito prestativos. Show todas as noites, wi-fi livre em todo o hotel. Parabéns ao Pedro da Cameron Explorer e aos funcionários Liz e Júlio César. São muito especiais e queridos.

Exelente atención, comida del bufet deliciosa y variada, cuartos amplio limpios y con aire acondicionado,pero los vendedores acosan encima de los huéspedes y falta movilidad para discapacitados, el hotel es muy grande y con muchas subidas y bajadas
El precio no concuerda con el servicio ofrecido, mi cuarto no tenía cable, el wifi no funcionó, pedí ayuda y no me hicieron caso. Además cuando compre la estadía no me indicaron el color de los brazaletes y los derechos que estos tenían, por ejemplo yo tenía uno azul y solo tenía derecho un restaurante para acceder a los otros tenía que reservar pero sólo era válido para la cena. El primer día que llegué me dieron como snack una hamburguesa en un restaurante sucio y comí al lado de unos perros que se peleaban por los restos que podían obtener. Tampoco me indicaron que no estaba habilitado la discoteca o fiestas. Lo único bueno es la playa, que está limpia.
El lugar es hermoso, la comida deliciosa y si van, súper recomendado las habitaciones frente al mar. Sin embargo, el servicio estuvo muy deficiente, queríamos ir a playa puntilla y nos dijeron que teníamos que ser afiliados para poder ir. Buscan que te afilies a decameron con mentiras. Es la tercera vez que viajo pero la última, quedé muy decepcionada con el servicio que ofrecen ahora. Hay que hacer largas filas para las comidas con el nuevo modelo de servicio.
El lugar es hermoso, muy natural. La atención es excelente. Pero las bebidas bajas de calidad, y los snacks muy lejos como para ir a comer algo.
Excelente opción para vacacionar frente al mar. La atención de sus empleados es sin igual (a veces no manejan la misma información pero son muy atentos y prestos a ayudar); la locación, tres piscinas, plata cristalina PRIVADA, discoteca (por pandemia cerrada) spa, habitaciones, restaurantes y demás servicios hacen de este hotel un inmenso paraíso para apartarse del mundo.Para llegar a el hay que pasar por una trocha muy carreteable desde la carretera principal de Baru por aproximadamente unos 15 minutos.Las comidas buffet son muyyy variadas y de muy buena calidad (los jugos seguiré pensando que no son naturales), cócteles y licores ilimitados... Snacks variada de día y noche... Show en vivos variados cada noche en su teatrino al aire libre (muy bien montando con sonido y luces)...
Es un excelente lugar para pasar vacaciones en familia o en pareja. Tiene múltiples actividades y espacios para disfrutar. Se destacan la playa, las piscinas y los restaurantes a la carta. Sin embargo, lo más valioso que tiene el hotel es su personal, creo que la amabilidad y calidez de ellos no tiene comparación. Sin duda alguna es un lugar para conocer.

Estuvimos 4 días en un lugar tranquilo y lleno de comodidades para toda la familia. Nos recibieron muy bien y las habitaciones estuvierona la medida de nuestras necesidades. La comida, empezando con el desayuno, es excelente con variedad de entradas, quesos, panes y bebidas. El personal está siempre dispuesto para colaborar y dar la mejor experiencia. La playa, las piscinas y demás amenidades del hotel son de gran calidad. Para desconectarse unos días, del trajín diario del trabajo y la vida en ciudad, lo recomiendo ampliamente.
It is a wonderful place with lots of activities. Beach is private, clear water, natural huge ocean pool. Staff afe wonderful, rolms very clean and tidy. All inclusive are the best. Far from any other place is perfect for family and relaxing time. 100% recommended. Tours available.
Great place, very clean, great restaurant and seafood. Huge pools and nice sea view. A bit to much up and down to go to places but it is good exercise though. I loved my stay here, there are iguanas everywhere, birds, and even friendly racoons. I really liked my stay here.
Where do I start....the food is Amazing very local which I appreciate at lot! Service is great! Place overall very nice and clean....i also enjoy at lot the shows!
I do not recommend staying here.Overall, the stay could of been 10x better with immediate actions.- Horrible Wifi (if you are coming for work or to use the wifi (I.e. kids wanting to watch movies, play games, watch movies or work) it is not reliable. You have to log in every five minutes and the internet may go out for whatever reason. IN ADDITION, they don’t have a Business Center or a workspace. So if your room is far, the wifi won’t work and they’ll tell you to come to the loud, kid running,lobby.- Do NOT pay for the “Plus” membership. The difference between Plus and the regular admission is exclusive pool access and exclusive restaurants. The “exclusive Pool” is next to the public pool- no music, no alcohol and just as packed. In addition, the Restaurants are only two restaurant that are not great. The buffet is just fine.You get the same things. The view of the room? Filled with palm trees, hard to see the beach. Oh! It’s also far away from their adapter so guess what? Horrible wifi.- The gym is not a gym. This has a treadmill, outdated working out equipment and a mix match of weights that go up to 22 lbs.- Laundry service: they told us it was coming before 12:00pm, and it did not arrive until 2-3pm after reaching out.This feedback was shared with their Night-time supervisor after multiple attempts of telling their staff about issues. Especially since the wifi timeout and wouldn’t allow anyone to login. Oscar, their supervisor tried accommodating me with a reservation to a restaurant, a later check out or wine. Please note, reservations we already had, a later check out was not needed but a not “above and beyond” and wine was not needed- because of the unlimited alcohol. Oscar did offer an office on my last day of stay but for what, it was too late. This is not Oscars fault but the lack of resolutions from management is very worrisome.The upside to this stay is the staff: Yessica, Samir, and a few other members of the kitchen staff were wonderful, pleasant and very friendly. They worked really hard especially sweating by the grill.Honestly, would not recommend staying at all.
Some rooms are a bit older and need upgrades , humidity and use may have taken a toll. The first room on the first floor was not great, I asked to change and they did very well. Entertainment staff is friendly. Some stress of the pandemic can be seen in some other staff members, understandable. I think the place may be a bit over priced with the value it offers presently with some facilities being closed or blocked due to pandemic. I would consider coming back maybe after ops go back to what it was pre pandemic.
Amazing place to be with friends family or a loved one ... Definitely take this place into consideration when booking a trip ... Great food and service ... The people are very kind and always looking to help

Covid review: it's good, obviously some give and take due to the pandemic but all in all they're open for business. I would suggest calling ahead for food reservations or you'll be "stuck" with the buffet area (still pretty good).
