Short stay as part of a trail running group. Check-in and check-out was easy, hotel room was clean and very comfortable. Staff very friendly, with a special mention to Kathy at the pool bar who was just hilarious. Plenty to choose from at breakfast. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.
Great central hotel in the west end of Funchal, within the Lido region. Typical hotel with 3 pools. Food and drink were of a good standard and the staff were efficient and friendly. Hotel is near to the lido beaches and on the main Monumental Estrada which is serviced regularly by service buses as well as tourist coaches. Not the cheapest hotel but Good enough.
On arrival we were pleasantly surprised by our room. I would recommend paying for a high sea view as some low rooms are right on the roadside so I would imagine very noisy. Perfect location too. Spotless and modern hotel, can't fault it at all. Only B&B but was a good standard, even sparkling wine with breakfast. Good from the pool bar was excellent and a reasonable price. One issue which is nit picking, but no tea spoons anywhere!!! Every morning I had to ask for one and they took ages to find one, no idea what everyone else used to stir there coffee. Fantastic hotel and will definitely return many times as Maderia is beautiful. Restaurant directly opposite Taxico, avoid!! First night we ate there, they forgot us, poor food, small portion, rude staff and managed to over charge us and it wasn't even busy. Crazy really as I'm sure most people would try there on their first night and probably return night after night.
On the top floor in a superior Seaview room. Away from a lot of the street noise as this area is very busy. Breakfast buffet very good. Staff friendly and helpful. Modern, clean, large, well equipped room. Small fridge rather than mini bar which was great for some wine, milk for coffees. etc. Had a really good stay.
Me and my family had a wonderful stay at the Four Views Monumental. We stayed 6 wonderful nights, the apartment and the breakfast were great and we were very well treated and well taken care of by all the kind staff. I would like to highlight Patricia at the hotel reception who always had a smile, an attentive, efficient and effective service and, above all, a friendliness that captivated us.
Stayed for a week at this hotel. Of the advantages - a good location, pleasant and smiling staff, high-quality cleaning, sea views. Cons - food (the quality of breakfast leaves much to be desired, I had to buy oatmeal in the store and steam it myself at breakfast). There is nothing healthy except fruit and peanut butter. We went here, as I read a lot of praise that the breakfasts are delicious. But this is not the truth. + rather outdated rooms that require renovation. Would come back again - no. If your budget allows, choose something better.
Enjoyed my stay! Lovely amenities. Bed and bathroom was spacious and clean. Breakfast was always delicious and fresh. Indoor and outdoor pools were lovely. Went during the off season so was quite spacious and not too busy. Lovely views especially if you have a sea view. Staff were nice and courteous, always helpful. Thé hôtel felt well thought out with the light indicators outside the room, heating and cooling unit and the sorting bin in the room (was impressed with that). Not the most avid hotel person but I enjoyed my stay and hope to go back again.
Nice hotel. The food was delicious. The staff are very polite and friendly. The rooms are tidy and with great views, also big enough.
We stayed here for 10 nights and I would like to say that it's a great place to stay for visiting Madeira. It's really close to all the needed places, very friendly staff, really clean. Breakfasts were really good, but dinners were amazing (really recommend to take at least one in case you didn't order it when booked a room)
Wonderful stay at this hotel, friendly staff, fantastic service, breakfast was excellent and varied. Pool outside was heated and not too crowded. Will definitely return to this hotel

Buenas habitaciones, limpias, la piscina magnífica en una 4@ planta, garaje incluido que es imprescindible en esta área, sólo teniendo las habitaciones con vista al mar vacías nos venden las de la montaña ? Nos dejaron la puerta abierta horas y no se disculparon, con la posibilidad de un robo o sencillamente la perdida de intimidad .... una botella de cava o de agua .... ya que ni disculpas .... Y los empleados de recepción nunca contestan el saludo, es sorprendente, he sido director de hotel y el receptor SIEMPRE ha de ser mega educado. Por lo demás todo bien.

We had great time in Funchal also thanks to the hotel. We stayed in one of their studios with two small children. The size is great with two balconies both with sea view. Bathroom was also good size. Nice kitchenette with microwave, fridge freezer, kettle, toaster, plates, pots, cutlery and I think coffee maker. It was more than we expected. In the room is also sofa, TV, dining table and office space. Everything was in very good condition and clean. Reception was quick to check us in and out and they were always helpful when we had a questions. We also used the indoor pool and kids had fun here. There is complimentary jacuzzi too. Apparently the next door hotel was undergoing some works, but we didn't hear any noise during our stay. We were using local buses as they are very frequent and cheap. There are taxis around and they have reasonable prices too. Overall we had great time in Funchal and we are thinking to come back once the kids are big enough to go to see the dolphins and whales:)

Es un hotel bastante céntrico está muy bien... Si tuviera que poner alguna pega estábamos en la planta 5 y la piscina y el bar en la planta 4 no tuvimos mucha intimidad a partir de las 8 de la mañana hasta el cierre del bar.
Hemos estado desde el 5 al 13 de Agosto. Un hotel excepcional tanto en trato, habitación y vistas. La ubicación es perfecta ya que paseando tienes 25 min hasta el mismo pueblo y otros 25 min hasta playa formosa. Lo recomiendo 100%. Repetiremos sin duda. El desayuno tiene absolutamente de todo muy bueno.
Perfect services for the money you pay. Great variety for breakfast , one of the cleanest pool a hotel can have . Nice view from the terrace. The staff is friendly and speaks good English. The only minus could be the size of rooms , but for 2 normal people are more than ok ...
Loved the view from the balcony towards the see and outdoor pool. The decorations to the room and hotel its self was amazing! They had a game lounge with snooker tables too. Really loved the stay
