Tuvimos una estancia fantástica en Garoupas Inn. Un gran agradecimiento a Duarte, Elaine, Noelia y Veronica. Todos nos cuidaron tremendamente. Mi esposa y yo viajamos mucho por trabajo y pasamos más tiempo en hoteles que en nuestras propias camas, por lo que nuestras expectativas son altas. Garoupas Inn nos impresionó con su amabilidad, conocimiento local y cuidado general. Nos quedamos un poco más de una semana y nos sentimos como si estuviéramos en familia. La propiedad está impecablemente limpia (mi esposa sufre de alergias al polvo / sinusitis y por lo general se cuela y se congestiona en los viajes. No escuché nada de él en este viaje, así de limpio está Garoupas) y las camas son tan cómodas. El desayuno es delicioso con una gran variedad y cada mañana Duarte se sienta contigo y un mapa para ayudarte a planificar tu día y brinda los mejores consejos sobre dónde comer y qué visitar. Tuvimos un retraso logístico antes de llegar y fueron flexibles y comprensivos con nuestra reserva.Simplemente no podemos recomendarlos lo suficiente. También quiero señalar que no nos pidieron que escribiéramos una reseña. Estoy haciendo esto por mi propia cuenta.Esperamos volver en el futuro, ojalá no estén completamente llenos;)

We had such a fantastic stay at Garoupas Inn. A huge thank you to Duarte, Elaine, Noelia & Veronica. Everyone looked after us tremendously. My wife and I travel a lot for work and spend more time in hotels than our own beds so our expectations are high. Garoupas Inn blew us away with their kindness, local knowledge and general care. We stayed for a little over a week and it felt like we were staying with family. The property is immaculately clean (my wife suffers from dust/sinus allergies and is usually sneazing and congested on trips. I did not hear a peep from him this trip that's how clean Garoupas is) and the beds are sooo comfortable.
The breakfast is delicious with a great variety and each morning Duarte sits down with you and a map to help you plan your day and gives the best tips from where to eat and what to visit.
We had a logistical delay before we arrived and they were flexible and understanding with our booking.
We simply can't recommend them enough. I also want to point out they didn't ask us to write a review I'm doing this of my own accord.
We hope to come back in the future, hopefully they're not fully booked ;)

Mi pareja y yo acabamos de regresar de una semana increíble en Garoupas Inn. Llegamos tarde por la noche y Elaine nos dio una cálida bienvenida, quien nos contó un poco sobre el área local y nos mostró nuestra habitación.La habitación estaba absolutamente impecable y tenía algunos extras encantadores, incluida una botella de vino gratis, toallas de playa y una variedad de artículos de tocador. Reservamos la habitación con vistas al mar, que era espectacular, justo al lado del océano con vistas perfectas.El desayuno fue fantástico: Elaine, Duarte, Veronica y Noelia fueron súper atentos y prepararon un delicioso desayuno para nosotros cada mañana preparándonos para un día de exploración de la isla.Elaine y Duarte fueron excelentes anfitriones. Una mañana nos llevaron a la ciudad para un viaje de avistamiento de ballenas y delfines, e incluso nos prestaron una capa extra para usar en los botes, ya que puede hacer un poco de frío en el mar. Siempre estuvieron disponibles para compartir su conocimiento de la isla con nosotros, por ejemplo, dándonos consejos sobre los mejores lugares para visitar y los restaurantes donde comen todos los lugareños. A las afueras, por así decirlo, de Ponte delgada, frente al mar con muchos restaurantes y bares en el entorno económico. Los dueños son dos personas encantadoras, muy amables y divertidas también. El personal también consta de dos hermanas muy confiables y agradables. Excelente limpieza y servicios.

My partner and I have just returned from an amazing week staying at Garoupas Inn. We arrived late in the evening and were warmly welcomed by Elaine who told us a bit about the local area and showed us to our room.
The room was absolutely spotless and had some lovely extras including a free bottle of a wine, beach towels, and a variety of toiletries. We booked the sea view room which was spectacular - right by the ocean with perfect views.
The breakfast was fantastic - Elaine, Duarte, Veronica and Noelia were super attentive and cooked a delicious breakfast for us every morning setting us up well for a day of exploring the island.
Elaine and Duarte were great hosts. One morning they drove us into town for a whale and dolphin watching trip, and even lent us an extra layer to wear on the boats as it can be a bit chilly out at sea. They were always on hand to share their knowledge of the island with us e.g., giving advice on the best places to visit, and the restaurants where all the locals eat. They went above and beyond to make our holiday special.
We'd also like to thank Veronica and Noelia for their attentiveness and for always making us laugh - they have great personalities and sense of humour!
It's worth stating that we travelled during the Coronavirus pandemic. Initially we were apprehensive, but we felt very safe during our stay - there were hand sanitizer stations throughout the inn, breakfast was served outside, and everyone respected one another's safety.
Could not recommend this place enough and we will be back for sure!

Alojamento pequeno mas muito acolhedor. Pequeno almoço variado com produtos regionais muito bons. Localizado em S. Roque, com uma vista privilegiada para a praia e ao longo da costa. No terraço, dispõe de jacuzzi e espreguiçadeiras. Os proprietários, Mike e Elaine, são do mais disponível, simpático e dedicado que se pode encontrar. Não hesitam em oferecer mapas da ilha e em indicar as melhores rotas e as pérolas que não se podem perder. Sem dúvida, um local a considerar numa próxima viagem

Believe me, this is the best Inn that I've tried. Beautiful view on the ocean, comfortable rooms, the jacuzzi was always available and excellent breakfast.Host are really Beautiful people, I've loved to talk with Mike and his wife Helene, they are available for everything. I can only suggest you to book it as soon as you can.

The best stay ever. The hosts are very helpful, serving amazing breakfasts every day. Very good coffee with no limits 24/7. When we arrived, everything was prepared with bottle of wine and water waiting in the room. Rooms were very clean with cleaning and towels change everyday. Great view on the sea. The best thing in this place was the jacuzzi running 24/7. We Will visit this place again!
