Domínio maravilhoso, como o paraíso realmente! Muitos sapos venenosos, beija-flores, lagartos, borboletas... Há uma trilha que você pode seguir, muito divertida para fazer com as crianças. Leva cerca de 1,5 hora. Pai e filho são ótimos anfitriões, muito simpáticos e prestativos. A cozinha está ok, eu pessoalmente adorei a sopa de abóbora. O café da manhã é básico, mas saboroso e a porção é grande o suficiente. Adorei a banana assada com calda de caramelo. 😋Mas não gostamos nada do quarto. Como você pode ver na foto, a sala não estava fechada. Não havia janela na porta. Assim, todo o calor e a umidade da floresta entraram em nosso quarto. Tudo estava molhado e úmido: os lençóis, nossas roupas, as páginas do nosso guia de viagem até se rasgaram porque estavam tão molhados... Além disso, sem wifi, sem tv. Em um dia muito chuvoso, como o nosso (das 9h às 16h), você morre de tédio em um quarto úmido.Então, eu recomendo o local, mas peça um quarto fechado com bom ar condicionado e perto da recepção para conexão wifi. 😉

Wonderful domain, like paradise really! Lots of poison dart frogs, humming birds, lizzards, butterflies... There´s a trail you can follow, really fun to do with kids. Takes about 1,5 hour.
Father and son are great hosts, very friendly and helpfull.
The kitchen is ok, I personally loved the pumpkin soup. Breakfast is basic, but tasty and the portion is big enough. I adored the baked banana with caramel sauce. 😋
But, we didn´t like the room, at all. As you can see on the picture, the room wasn´t closed. There was no window in the door. So all the heat and humidity from the forest entered our room. Everything was wet and damped: the sheets, our clothing, the pages of our travel guide even got ripped because they were so wet...
Also, no wifi, no tv. On a very rainy day, like we had (pouring down from 9am to 4pm), you´re bored to death in a damped room.
So, I recommand the place, but ask for a closed room with good airco and close to the reception for wifi connection. 😉

O lugar é gráfico. A umidade do ambiente adiciona um toque extraordinário. Vale a pena se perder no caminho a pé. Que trabalho fazer isso. O restaurante está muito acima da média. É realmente muito alta qualidade. Estávamos quase sozinhos na pousada. A noite tivemos a visita de uma cobra (de pelo menos 1 m de comprimento), e tivemos que encontrar o dono (belga como nós), para trocar de quarto. Um bom passo.....

Um lugar muito agradável cheio de vegetação, comida muito rica. Não gostei da pina colada. Tem piscina e dá para passar o dia, tem trilhas e é amigável com cachorros pequenos. Nossa melhor estadia na Costa Rica!!!Verdadeiramente o lugar mais especial para ficar na Costa Rica. Escondido em sua própria selva privada, ao lado de um parque nacional, o hotel oferece uma estadia tranquila e agradável com comida, quartos e instalações incríveis (as fotos não fazem justiça!). A piscina é incrível e muito tranquila - o único som são os macacos bugios subindo nas árvores! Há também um incrível passeio de chocolate no local, bem como um fabuloso passeio pela própria floresta.O anfitrião não pôde fazer o suficiente por nós e seus convidados e garantiu que todas as nossas necessidades fossem atendidas. Ele realmente fez a nossa estadia! Hotel incrível que não poderíamos culpar!Obrigado obrigado por tudo!

Un agradable sitio rodeado de mucha naturaleza. La comida es buena aunque le falta mucho por mejorar en cuanto a tiempos de entrega. Recomiendo el lugar, el entorno natural hacen que uno quiera volver.

I have come to the restaurant several times. Very nice place. I can't give it five stars because there is inconsistencies in the quality of coctels and customer service. It certainly is better when the owners are present.

Our best stay in Costa Rica!!!
Truly the most special place to stay in Costa Rica. Tucked away in its own private jungle , next to a National park, the hotel offers a peaceful and delightful stay with amazing food, rooms and facilities (photos do not do it justice!). The pool is incredible and very tranquil - the only sound is the howler monkeys climbing on the trees! There is also an amazing chocolate tour on site, as well as a fab walk through their own forest.
The host could not do enough for us and his guests and made sure all of our needs were met. He really made our stay! Incredible hotel which we couldn’t fault at all!

It is just so beautiful and comfortable and tasty!!
We came for one night and stayed 4 nights.
Its an old spanish hacienda that was converted into a hotel dipping in lush tropical gardens.
Excellent king size bed with high end linen.
Excellent restaurant.
Excellent wifi.
There is a lot to do inside the hacienda like a high level chocolate tour, walking in the forest and reforestation project, the kids loved to row the boat around the small island and more.
The area is stunning, the national park, boat tour on the Sarapiqui river (we saw so many animals including many sloths!!!!)
We saw green macaws in the hotel!!
All and all it is a jewel in Costa Rica and we will definitely come back here.

This is a great lodge experience in a jungle setting. Well run with excellent on site meal preparation. The owner can take you on a chocolate tour and they also do night tours on the property to spot frogs etc. The kids will enjoy pool as well. It is a great rustic jungle experience. If you want to feel like you're staying in the jungle but with pampering this is the spot.

Great place to stay - make sure you walk the trail!We just stayed over night on our way to the caribean beaches. Great and welcoming owner who provides you lots of useful recommendations. Had a great homemade breakfast and were enjoying the cool terrace with all the wild animals around. Highly recommend to walk the hotel owned trail! You can fall asleep hearing jungle sounds - so if you don't like hearing howler monkey bring ear plugs ;-)Stayed: June 2017, traveled as a couple
