Chose from online reviews. Disappointed with the overall experience. Friendly staff on arrival, but after that reception seemed to care very little about clients.
Room was basic, clean but no frills. Thin duvet and poor mattress. No extra blankets or pillows. Minimal tea and coffee available.

Good location to centre of York.
Some of the reception staff came across as v unfriendly, no smiles or pleasant greetings in fact you felt like you were bothering them! But hotel was fine! Don't be put off by that, it could have just been a bad day

Perfect hotel in the perfect position. Just out of centre 3 min walk from train station. Everything was superb. Stopped 2 nights and breakast each morning was excellent

Excellent location! A short picturesque walk away from the Train station. Lots of shops on the way to the Shambles. Heavy breakfast buffet with a corner for making your own pancakes and waffles. Breakfast was a bit tight, but expected, as it was graduation period in York University. Bedroom size was good for short stays (3-4 days). Daily cleaning. Frequency of towel changes can be requested. All in all, a good value stay.

Fabulous service! very friendly, helpful and accommodating staff. Rooms were spotless, comfy bed and tea services. Great location, only a short walk from the train station. Breakfast was brilliant, not expensive at all. Brilliant hotel, we will be staying again !

Sem dúvida vamos visitar novamente e escolher este hotel novamente.

Lugar encantador, extremamente limpo, a equipe foi de 1ª classe e surpreendentemente acolhedora. Café-da-manhã foi adorável com grande quantidade de opções e nós apreciamos cada segundo da nossa estadia. Apenas 1 leve negativo é que eu gostaria que a academia estivesse aberta mais cedo, pois sou madrugador e não me importaria se pudesse descer antes que minha esposa e filho acordassem. Isso não tira a estadia e recomendo este hotel para quem fica em York.

Lovely place, extremely clean, staff were 1st class and amazingly accommodating. Breakfast was lovely with loads of choices and we enjoyed every second of our stay. Only 1 slight negative is I wish the gym was open earlier as I'm an early riser and wouldn't mind if I could go down before my wife and son woke up. This does not take away from the stay at all and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in York.

We recently stayed as part of a short family trip and we were impressed with the overall cleanliness of the hotel - despite how busy it was - as well as the professionalism of staff.Everyone we encountered was professional, friendly and welcoming, and couldn't have been more helpful when it came to assisting us with things like directions and storing luggage prior to check-in.The breakfast area was a highlight of ours and we had a fantastic nights sleep as a family. We will no doubt visit again and choose this hotel again.

Valor fantástico, café da manhã muito bom, quartos limpos e inteligentes. Libra por libra é valor imbatível em York. Equipe muito simpática, e difícil de avaria. Paguei mais e fiquei desapontado em outros hotéis. Então, tendo isso em mente, com certeza ficaria novamente.

Fantastic value, really good breakfast, clean and smart rooms. Pound for pound it's unbeatable value in York. Really friendly staff, and hard to fault. Paid more and been disappointed in other hotels. So baring that in mind, would definitely stay again.

El peor hotel que he estado en mi vida!! Viajo constantemente! El desayuno lo peor, mala calidad pocas cosas, ponían dos muffins y no reponían, por ejemplo. Las camas las peores, los colchones estaban torcidos y llamamos para ver si podiamos cambiar de habitación y eran todos así, osea que no cambiamos. Las personas tiraban las puertas y se oía todo lo que pasaba en las otras habitaciones.

Buen hotel, con cómodas y amplias habitaciones y buen servicio. No hay minibar ni servicio a la habitación. Si hay un bar abajo de 24h. El desayuno es muy buena y variado. Lo que si hay mucha gente a partir de las 9. La ubicación está bien. Cerca de la estación de tren y del centro histórico. Se puede hacer todo caminando.

Un hotel cercano a la estación, con habitaciones de tamaño suficiente y wifi gratis (no demasiado rápido) y desayuno incluido siempre. No está mal de precio, además aunque tiene el baño pequeño y la ducha con poca presión. Las vistas, como os pongan en la planta más baja y mirando a la zona interior de la colina donde está, no veréis nada.

No tuvieron en cuenta que la reserva claramente era para 2 adultos y 1 niño y el sofá-cama no estaba preparado y tuvimos que avisar. Tampoco pusieron toallas para el peque... Mal. La habitación en la planta 0 con vistas a un muro, pero estaba bien y el desayuno también muy bien, aunque con mucha gente.
