Hall de entrada lindo, digno de um hotel 5 estrelas, no entanto a situação muda quando entramos no quarto, o ambiente estava limpo mas era bem básico, a cama fazia barulho ao sentar... o banheiro é ok, mas a água não mantém a temperatura durante o banho. O café da manhã foi agradável e o staff foi simpático. No geral, a estadia foi boa.

A entrada do hotel é espetacular e o serviço de pequeno almoço também é bom. Não tenho nada de mau a apontar em relação ao quarto. Só não gostei do facto de se poder ouvir a água dos chuveiros dos outro quartos. De resto, gostei da experiência.

Not quite a 5 star hotel. Rooms were comfy and clean and the hotel offers a decent amount of amenities. The location isn't the worst, but it surely isn't good either. While we were there two out of three elevators broke down. They were fixed the same day, but it surely raised some eyebrows. My biggest issue was with the breakfast staff, who were rushing us through our meal like we were cattle. Before we'd put our knife and fork down someone was already pulling the plate from under our noses, and getting another glass of milk or juice wasn't a possibility because by the time you'd get back to the table your (even unfinished) meal would be gone.
No merece la pena cenar en el hotel, es más barato en cualquier otro sitio y es mejor calidad . Personal del hotel casi un 10 , instalaciones como piscinas ó chil out en terraza un 10 . Pero me cobraron de más por la reserva aunque cuando hice el chek in me dijeron que estaba todo pagado , me cobraron 8 € de tasas que bueno no es mucho , pero cuando hice el chek out me cobraron 25 € , y dijeron que era porque cambié la fecha de la reserva y semanas antes pregunté si me cobrarían más y no me dijeron nada.
Me ha encantado el hotel . La verdad que aunque no está en el centro centro. La ubicación es perfecta para coger buses que te lleven hasta centro y hasta el jardín botánico que es una preciosidad andando es un paseo. A lo único que se le puede poner algún pero es a la hora de entrada al hotel. Los trabajadores en Restaurante tanto para la cena como en el desayuno son muy profesionales y atentos. Volvería a repetir👍
Honest review: The first impression is great. Nice staff and good-looking lobby. Once you enter your room you see that the furniture is old and damaged. Our dinner experience was short-lived due to them not helping us. After waiting for 20 minutes I decided not to order anything. My partner did, but it too our surprise they forgot about us, and once the staff remembered they just grabbed it straight from the all-you-can-eat buffet table. After that terrible "dinner" we went to bed thinking it was just us because we were tired. Which wasn't to easy with all the noise coming from the city. Then waking up at 5 in the morning because some kind of noise was coming from water leaking? I think it is the swimming pool above us. (and the second morning it was the same sound) About the swimming pool, don't forget to bring a swimming cap else you can't even use it! After paying what I think should be enough to be able to make use of the facilities in the hotel, they require €5,- for the swimming cap or you are not allowed in... The location of the hotel is also pretty bad. Sure there is a park, but who wants to walk in the park all day when in Porto? You want to go to the city center of course... Yes, there is a bus in front of the hotel, but all the traffic is jammed due to this hotel being in a busy area. I noticed the hotel replying to all of the negative comments, but there is nothing you can say to validate this hotel being a 5-star hotel. I've visited many hotels due to my work and this is literally the worst I've ever been. It's like a 3-star hotel with some extra facilities (that apparently you can't just use without paying extra) If you are visiting Porto and want to treat yourself to a nice 5-star hotel, don't go here. We spent the rest of our stay in a cheap Airbnb which was better and the same price for 5 days ;)
Location a 45 mins walk into city, rooftop bar is nice but needs some work to improve pool and pool area which has uneven floor boards under artificial grass which is very hazardous. Cocktails not the best quality for the price, bar and ground floor has cheaper prices. Bar food very nice and not to expensive. Hotel rooms are quite big, beds very comfortable and bedding good quality. Shower very good. Walks between rooms very thin so lots of noise at times. Would stay here again.
O quarto estava tudo bem, tudo ótimo com o hotel mas em relação ao jantar esperava mais da comida os nossos pratos não tiveram muito gosto nem perguntam como vai ser a carne eles fizeram da sua maneira o que não é bom
Todo correcto y gran hotel, atención y amabilidad enrecepción. Habitación grande y cómodas. Desayunos muy completo. La única pega es algo lejos del centro. Pueden coger el autobús 200 o 207.
Una gran decepción por parte de dirección, no se hacen cargo del accidente que tuve en la entrada del hotel por mal condicionamiento en el suelo. Tengan cuidado en la zona de estacionamiento en la entrada del hotel. Adoquines en muy mal estado por culpa de eso después de casi 1 mes sigo inmovilizada. Que triste que un hotel de estas características supuestamente tengan tan mala gestión de dirección. Mi error no poner una hoja de reclamación y fiarme de la directora del hotel.
El hotel está genial, el personal muy amable, lo mejor el desayuno y sus variedades. La lástima es la ubicación, esta a unos 4 kilómetros del centro, resto inmejorable. Los taxis salen entre 6 y 8 euros el trayecto.
Really disappointing, the staff in the down stairs bar/lounge were great and the capuccini was really good but the reception is slow, house-keeping needs improvement, terrible location and the rooftop pool/bar is terrible. The indoor pool on the first floor wasn't much better. The cocktails and staff at the HF Phoenix are infinitely better. Breakfast is not worth the astonishing 17€ that you have to pay if you don't include it in the room for 12€ and it's not worth it at that price either.
O quarto estava bom mas o isolamento é muito fraco Havendo um bar aberto até a 1h da manhã houve imensa gente a chegar aos quartos a 1h30/2h da manhã a fazer imenso barulho e ouviase tudo, dormi muito mal Pequeno almoço muito bom e variado Piscina exterior bom local e agradável para conviver Piscina interior boa também, deveria era ter mais 1/2 bancos para arrumar as coisas, havia pessoas com as toalhas no chão por não haver espaço e o jacuzzi sendo um hotel de 5 estrela poderia ser maior mas mesmo assim é muito bom
Pior experiência que tive em toda a minha vida , inicialmente a expectativa para um hotel com 5 estrelas é alta por isso a desilusão é maior . Quando se paga 150 euros por uma noite numa ideia que iria ser especial , começa com o staff a entrar no quarto para repor uma simples lata de amendoins comigo e com a minha namorada la dentro , bateram a porta mas nem deram tempo de chegar para ser eu mesmo abrir . Durante a noite dá para ouvir perfeitamente as canalizações de outros quartos enquanto tomam banho ou mesmo conversas de quartos mais próximos. Tentei ligar para o serviço de quartos com 3 chamadas nenhuma delas atendida e acabei por desistir.
Le sobran un par de estrellas al hotel. Anticuado. Olor a rancio.... Lo cogimos porque tenía piscina en el ático. Pequeña pero para darte un chapuzón, vale. Como positivo el desayuno, pero el zumo era de bote y a las 10h había aglomeración de personas.... Para llegar al centro de Oporto, taxi o bus. Ya que eran más de 45 mints andando.
Tanto las habitaciones, como las piscinas son estupendas y el.desayuno fantástico, un hotel muy bueno correspondiente a las 5 estrellas que tiene. Lo único malo la ubicación y no por donde está si no por el.barrio marginal en el.que se encuentra comparable a Valdemigomez a 20 min en coche del centro de oporto. Es alucinante no había visto cosa así en vida la gente vive en un parque cercano en tiendas de campaña y no se cortan en chutarse en plena luz del día. Una verdadera pena, por lo demás todo genial.
So I have just checked in, realy clean hotel - not quite sure it's 5 star. Lobby is amazing but does not reflect the standard of the rooms.I have just been downstairs to see if my husband and I could change rooms as we are in a twin!!!!!! ( would have been nice to have a double as its our first holiday without the children) only to be told they are fully booked, however when you go onto multiple websites there is availability?Secondly, we are checking out prior to a pre-paid breakfast on Friday; I asked if this was possibly transferable to an evening meal and was told that I would receive a take away - "doggy bag" breakfast at check- out . 5 star absolutely not! I do not go abroad without checking into a 5 star hotel - not because this is what I'm accustomed to but, both my husband and I work terribly hard and we are after all on holiday, as we deserve the break.Welcome was lackluster. Reception point was OK. Maintenance man was lovely. 5 star Hotel definitely not 5 star service.View from my room :( wasn't great either.
A lovely hotel with all the facilities you can wish for. When we stayed there, there were a lot of young couples / people which made it noisy and not as enjoyable going to the pool. The pool area is also quite smelly (sewer water). The food is average and not 5 star. Location a bit outside town. Overall not a bad place to stay but we questioned the 5 star rating.

Not deserving of being a five star hotel. The hotel was clean, beds comfy and the breakfast was good. The indoor pool was amazing, the outdoor rooftop pool was incredibly underwhelming. The reception staff spoke great English but were rude and unhelpful. The cleaning staff were absolutely lovely and did an amazing job. The hotel is not in a great area. The toiletries provided was a 3-in-1 body wash and conditioning shampoo which was quite disappointing, would have at least appreciated a separate shampoo and conditioner. Shower was very small and the temperature did not stay the same throughout a shower. Furniture and décor in the room felt cheap and like an after-thought.
This is a great hotel, rooms are comfy, clean and tide. Breakfast is good and has everything you'dwant to have. Great rooftop pool and indoor pool. Would be better if pool bar was operating but not a big deal we got our own alcohol. Only two downsides. 1. Acoustic isolation is poor, if you next door neighbor is having to much fun you'll hear it. 2. Location is not in the main touristic center so if you're planning on walking outside to the nearest bar this is a deal breaker. Other than that it's nothing a short taxi ride won't solve. Overall very recommended.
O hotel é bem gostoso, organizado e limpo. O café da manhã estava bem variado e tudo gostoso. Os funcionarios são atenciosos, mas o isolamento acustico é péssimo. Meu vizinho de quarto entrava em video conferencia as 8:30 da manhã e me acordava. Imagino que meus barulhos matinais também o incomodavam....
Não posso referir em termos de estadia pois fui a um congresso mas muito limpo, staff impecável e solícito.
Las instalaciones son de un hotel de 5⭐, habitaciones muy grandes, a excepción de la cama, que es muy dura y usada). Esta a 1h del centro de Oporto, con lo que siempre acabas cogiendo un taxi.
Me resultó fácil llegar al hotel, el personal muy atento, las habitaciones muy cómodas y limpias, el gimnasio cumple su función, el parking con plazas correctas y la ubicación con respecto al centro ni tan lejos, puedes ir caminando perfectamente si vas sin prisas. Gracias por unos días de desconexión.
Habitación grande con cama enorme y cómoda.Todo muy limpio. La ducha sale con presión y bañera grande. El personal de la recepción muy amable y servicial. Parking 14 € diarios.... No nos gustó el tema del desayuno,no nos entraba en la habitación y decidimos desayunar igual,nos dijo la persona que estaba en la puerta que por un pequeño suplemento podíamos desayunar....el pequeño suplemento fueron 34€/ 2 personas...y no tienen mucha variedad,bufet bastante escaso. En ese aspecto nos pareció mal ya que creo q deberían decir lo que cuesta antes de entrar . La ubicación no es céntrica pero tampoco está lejos del centro. Nosotros fuimos andando a todos los sitios, llegamos hasta el puente de Luis I y volvimos y no se hizo nada pesado.
Estuvimos 5 días estuvo estupendo y muy agradable el desayuno muy completo y los empleados muy amables , tiene una parada de taxis al lado y el autobús muy cerquita pasan dos líneas que te llevan al centro y pasan continuamente estuvimos muy cómodas. La piscina estupenda y también tiene gym pero realmente no puedo opinar porque no fui. En conjunto todo perfecto 👌
Boa localização, bom pequeno almoço ( mas jamais é fabuloso como vendem no site) e boa limpeza. Mas está longe de ser um hotel 5 estrelas, pois apresenta alguns erros imperdoáveis para quem paga por conforto.1 - A ducha não mantém a temperatura (isso foi constatado em dois quartos) e tem pouca pressão;2 - Minibar não liga (informamos na recepção e nada foi feito). Nada de uma cerveja ou agua gelada;3 - Qualquer ruído externo é perfeitamente audível dentro do quarto. Uma simples conversa do quarto ao lado é facil de ouvir;4 - A decoração do quarto é um pouco simplista para um hotel 5 estrelas.
El hotel está bien en general. La atención de los empleados es la correcta. LO QUE TENEIS QUE HACER ES APARCAR EN EL PARKING DEL HOTEL O DELANTE, !!!!NUNCA EN LAS CALLES CERCANAS!! CERCA HAY UNA ZONA CONFLICTIVA Y ES COMÚN QUE ROBEN EN LOS COCHES!!!!! En la misma noche nos robaron a dos coches con matrículas españolas. El mío no tenía nada a la vista, todo guardado en el maletero. Los empleados del hotel nos ayudaron en todo lo posible a llamar a la policía y intentar resolver la situación de la mejor manera posible.

Fair hotel, clean and efficient staff. Breakfast quite basic. Sound isolation between rooms could be better as you can hear other peoples in rooms speaking. Overall ok but definitely not a 5 stars hotel.

Um interessante Hotel entre o rio e a cidade. Com boas ligações de transporte público, mas nãotãoboa localizaçãopara quem se deslocada à pé.
Hotel com muito charme e bem localizado. Ideal para estadia na cidade, quer em trabalho quer em lazer. Ótimo também para realização de eventos. A entrada é imponente. Ansioso que regressem as festas na piscina do último piso.
Me hospedei neste Hotel a cada 40 dias por 2 anos. O Serviço de quarto é muito bom, atendimento simpático, café da manhã ótimo, não utilizava o restaurante pois em Porto seria um sacrilégio deixar de comer nos excelentes restaurantes da cidade.

Edit 2021: stayed here again and while I understand it is Corona and hotels struggle, I can really not understand that a five star hotel charges an additional fee if you request an Omlet at breakfast (3 years ago this was not the case). The hotel is well maintained, rooms are spacious. Overall it is more on the level of other 4 star hotels in Portugal than to 5 star hotels.2018: Nice hotel with a very nice pool area on rooftop. The staff is friendly. Room could be cleaner, we found a lot of hairs in one corner of the room in front of a mirror. There is not so much in the nearby area you can do, you need to use a taxi or public transport to go to downtown or the beach.
I called ahead of booking and spoke to the reception, asking what facilities I could enjoy as I was only booking this hotel due to the rooftop pool bar. I was assured I could book without a problem, as only the internal pool was closed due to covid. I booked the trip, got to the hotel, and was informed the rooftop bar wasn't open, but that it would open the next day. This happened every single day until my trip ended, for 9 days. Not only did I pay a lot more for this amenity, the fact that I was lied to repeatedly and had to postpone my tours believing the staff ruined our anniversary trip. I submitted a complaint and asked for a refund for the difference of the amount between this hotel and the sister hotel, which doesn't have the rooftop bar, and got told there is a disclaimer on the website saying not all facilities will be open due to covid, so I was not entitled to any refund. To add insult to injury, not only did I have to complain the cleaning wasn't being done daily, half the time towels weren't left in the room and the coffee, tea and sugar weren't stocked up. Once I complained, they sent some upstairs. When I called and complained about the rooftop bar to the reception, and asked if they could send room service to the rooftop as it presented no difference to the bar being closed (people were using the tiny pool there with no social distancing) they told me they''d call me back and never did. The breakfast was the only thing that was nice. However, since my family has stayed at this hotel for the past 20 years, you can see that the level of general quality has dropped. I am still very dissatisfied with being lied to deliberately so I'd book the trip, after being assured the rooftop bar would be open. It's a dishonest practice I wouldn't have expected a 5 star hotel staff would take. Fair to say, my family and I won't stay here again unfortunately. Make sure you actually research before you go, if like me you're only booking for amenities you won't get. Edit after the owner replied - Easyjet further called you and confirmed the rooftop bar was closed for the entirety of my stay, and that what you did was dishonest, so they've refunded me partially as it breached their guidelines that you advertised amenities which weren't open. The rooftop bar was closed between the 27th of August until the 8th of September that I could verify, so what you said is incorrect. I've amended my comment about the breakfast, as I was referring to the general quality of the hotel going downhill - Towels not being replaced, stained bedding, coffee, teaand sugar not being replaced until I complained, not really what you'd ever expect from a 5 star hotel. Thank you for the invitation to return but obviously I'll pass. I hope you aren't as shocked as from learning your own amenities were closed. It seems that there are a lot of service failures you are not aware of.
Had a great stay in a huge family room. Very comfortable. Hotel staff very helpful and friendly and breakfast was good. We used bus system to get around Porto and it was very easy and convenient from the hotel.
Quartos sempre limpos. As camas sao muito confortáveis e enormes. No verao é um hotel que está sempre cheio mas os quartos tem bom isolamentento sonoro. Fiquei sempre em quartos superiores e virados a poente, adoro a vista. Todas as vezes que fui, fui bem tratada, staff muito prestável. Check in e check out rápido. O bar é agradavel. Estacionamento é complicado na zona, e passear por ali a pé tambem nao é boa ideia, principalmente á noite.
Nuestro grupo de 8 personas, hemos estado pasando el puente en Oporto, precisamente en este Hotel, una maravilla, contratamos media pensión y nos trataron muy bien, el personal amable y educado, siempre atento, quiero hacer una mención especial, a Carolina simpática y agradable, también a Mafalda, pendiente siempre y eficaz. En fin todo el personal igual. No hemos podido disfrutar de la piscina del ático ni del bar, pues el clima no lo permitió. Merece la pena ir.
Definitely the hotel where I'll be staying the next time that I'll revisit Porto. The place is very nice, the rooms are perfect but it's definitely the employees that makes the hotel unforgetable. Very professional and very nice. I haven't been deceived by a single detail thanks to all of them. Protect them and keep them at all costs.

Wrist 5 star I have been!Firstly; the hotel is located in a such bad neighborhood that local people advise us to not leave the cars on the street. There's even people asking for money to buy"food" right in front of the hotel. And do you know what this hotel makes to its clients? Paying 11 euro per night to park the car on their car parking, even though it is dangerous to park you car on the street. Secondly, they advertise luxurious rooms with sport TV and noise free. Well mine wasn't that the case, one of the night I could hear everything from the room next door, and when I say everything imagine the worst. Thirdly, their spa and indoor pool is closed but wait is not because of covid-19 it's because the pool has a leak and they close everything because OF it even the gym. Thirdly, the staff is horrendous, except one guy at the breakfast, the others are purely unsatisfied to be working on this hotel. When I arrived they ask me to pay when I had paid with credit card in advance... They looked like bouncers not receptionist. Fourthly, but lost less important; they had a lot of guests but they were very short on staff which cause the biggest to queue I have ever seen to take a breakfast in a 5 star hotel, well it was the first time I saw it happen in any hotel... They gonna say it was because of covid, I will tell you that is because of bad management of sitting one person in tables of 5... At breakfast time they were supposed to properly disinfect the tables and chairs however they do it is anedoticthey clean the tables with the same paper of the chairs and vice versa... I have also a video of the queue I referred before.Very poor!And no, I will not contact you since you ignored my complaints on booking.comYou 10 years behind of your hotels in Lisbon.
This as 5 stars but it went to a lot of 5 and 4 stars around the world and this hostel is more like an bad 4 stars.The beds are confortable but they do crazy noise when you move. There is no style or identity in the rooms, they are very basic. Sound insulation is one of the worst I have seen.The only thing that was correct was the breakfast, just correct.
