Horrible experience. The room smells like rotten eggs. You can’t see anything through the window. Be prepared to wake up at 4 am as they pray very loudly every day. You can’t wear bikini on the beach because its a local island

As there are a lot of expensive hotels and we are on tight budget, we preferred to stay in this hotel located in a small island. In this place, we enjoyed staying with the locals who are very accommodating and approachable. Foods are great and the beach is quiet and not much tourists. Photos are taken last September 2018

It has been more than one month since we have returned from an amazing Bodufolhudhoo Island vacation. We were a bit worried how we would get to the Island, but the Holiday Village Retreat owner Bary arranged everything perfectly. During our stay, two nice guys were taking care of us. The accommodation is in terraced rooms and well equipped; a kettle, hairdryer and safe. The food was good and we had plenty of it, but you can not have it in a form of buffet, as the hotel is really small and there is quite tricky food transportation to the Island. You can order breakfast, lunch and diner 2 hours before eating.
The public beach is surrounded by corals and plenty of colorful fish of different sizes. We have personally seen small sharks, eagle rays, morays, squids, turtles and many more. Absolutely beautiful snorkeling. We even had the chance to see a group of dolphins in the distance. The trip to the Manta ray was also wonderful. Bary offers a variety of excursions. The Island is small but beautiful and clean. Most of the time, the locals will give you a warm greeting. We have just one recommendation – paying by cash at Bary because the bank has withdrawn blatant charges in our case.
We spent 9 beautiful days on the island when we completely relaxed and rested.

We have stayed in this wonderful guesthouse for 4 days in February. We loved it ! The guesthouse was nice and close to the beach which was really nice.
The staff was so helpful arranging the activities. We went for two dives and a sand bank trip. Was really awesome ! I recommend this place

one day before arrival we were told that the resort was full and we had to go to a bed & breakfast of the neighbors.

The food would still take place at the holiday village retreat.
We have never eaten so badly than there.
And if the price later sees the price, it was absolutely not worth it.
We also had bad luck with the island itself, it is one of the smallest islands where tourism has not been anticipated.
