Beautiful boutique hotel situated amongst the trees just minutes from the Monteverde town center. A very small property featuring a restaurant and bar as well as access to the adjacent private nature reserve. 2 story bungalows consist of 2 rooms with king beds 2 bathrooms, a small kitchenette and nice balcony where you can sit and enjoy the sights and sounds of the forest and the Pacific Ocean just beyond. The staff will make you feel like family and do everything within their power to insure you have a great stay. *Please note that a 4x4 vehicle is recommended when traveling in Monteverde as the roads are mostly made up of stone and dirt.

Uma experiência perfeita, definitivamente o melhor hotel em que já fiquei. Viemos como uma famÃlia de 5 pessoas e pegamos o bangalô. Na chegada, a equipe nos recebeu no estacionamento e nos ajudou. Deu-nos a sensação perfeita da nossa estadia. O lugar é absolutamente lindo - na floresta, com uma bela vista e muita vida selvagem ao redor. Na verdade, vimos mais animais lá do que nos parques. Na chegada, fomos recebidos por uma famÃlia de coaties. Então vi mais alguns mamÃferos, muitos pássaros e outros. O quarto era grande (2 andares) e com uma grande varanda com uma vista maravilhosa, e o banheiro no térreo é com uma janela para a floresta - uma ótima experiência. Parecia que eles pensaram em todos os pequenos detalhes: redes nas janelas e portas, ar condicionado, ventiladores e aquecimento, guarda-chuvas para levar, ótimo café local. As camas são enormes e muito confortáveis. O café da manhã é muito bom, em um espaço amplo com uma vista linda também. Não posso explicar, novamente, como a equipe foi maravilhosa!

Hotel pequeño y familiar en la que la atención del personal muy cualificado, la calidez de las habitaciones que parecen la casita en el árbol , la limpieza y la excelente cocina, hacen de un sitio peculiar y recomendable. Te sientes como en casa. Si te gusta la naturaleza este es tu hotel. Se sitúa en la montaña, en el bosque nuboso. También dispone de un área privada de bosque para realizar una buena caminata entre árboles centenarios, monos, aves y un sin fin de animales variados.

Such a gorgeous hotel with stunning views over the cloud forest. The staff are exceptional, they made our stay so comfortable. We had some travel difficulties on the way to Monteverde and so arrived quite late in the evening, and very tired. Marco and Diana greeted us by name and sent a delicious dinner to our room even though the kitchen had closed. They gave excellent recommendations for activities and helped us book an awesome zipline tour. Come for the views, stay for the staff!

A perfect experience, definitely the best hotel I have ever stayed in.
We came as a family of 5, and took the bungalow.
On arrival, the staff welcomed us at the parking lot and helped us. Gave us the perfect feeling of our stay.
The place is absolutely gorgeous - in the woods, with a beautiful view and lots of wildlife around. We actually saw more animals there than in the parks. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by a family of coaties. Then saw some more mammals, lots of birds and others.
The room was big (2 floors) and with a large balcony with a wonderful view, and the bathroom downstairs is with a window to the forest - a great experience.
It felt like they thought of all the small details: nets on the windows and doors, a/c, fans and heating, umbrellas to take, great local coffee.
The beds are huge and very comfortable.
The breakfast is very good, in a large space with a beautiful view as well.
Can't explain, again, how wonderful the staff was!

The Koora Hotel is a must when visiting Monteverde. The customer service was top notch, the rooms and views spectacular and the meals delicious. The management team organized all of our excursions and made sure each excursion met our needs and expectations, which they did. We stayed three nights and truly enjoyed our cloud forest experience.

This is such a beautiful hotel! They very kindly upgraded us to a family room, which was stunning. It was a two-storey cabin with a little kitchenette and two balconies, perfect for us travelling with our 8-and 5-year-old boys.The beds were so comfortable!! We all slept really well. Everything was perfectly clean too.The staff, we met Kenneth and Cristain, were so kind to us and our children - remembering our kids’ names, talking to them about the local wildlife and remembering what they liked to eat for breakfast.We saw some adorable coatis on the property, a little family of them with babies. Adorable.This is such a perfect Monteverde base.

Travelled with my two daughters (20’s). The hotel itself is beautiful and setting spectacular. Rooms were immaculate. Dinner at restaurant was delicious. We stayed at Koora during our 8 day trip to Costa Rica. We started down in Manuel Antonio (where we got married) and made our way up to Monte Verde. Talk about a complete climate change! As soon as we pulled up to the hotel, the receptionist was waiting outside for us and called us by our names. We were just so impressed by the location and the hospitality that the staff expressed. We cannot say enough about this hotel. The staff, cleanliness, the food and the views are literally breathtaking. Also, take advantage of the trails on the property. Beautiful, unique hotel in the treetops. The rooms are actually 2 floor, 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom cabins which are fully stocked and very clean. The dinner was delicious and the restaurant has amazing views, but what really stood out was the exceptional customer service. Marco made sure we had the best experience, even going so far as to take us for a walk in the adjacent nature preserve (free for guests) to show us the wildlife. Absolutely loved our experience and would 100% recommend.

Excelente hotel y un servicio muy atento. La comida tiene precios desorbitados pero es de excelente calidad (no es la tÃpica trampa de turistas habitual de la zona). Nos hicieron un upgrade gratuito al llegar y durante toda la estancia el servicio fue inmejorable.
