I think breakfast should be included but always a great stay.

It is a beautiful property with one of the best rooms I have ever stayed in, the common area are gorgeous, the spa/pool while not huge is very nice too, it is the perfect place, and without doubt the best, to stay while in the Spa area.
Our room, I think the largest in the hotel, was just stunning. Very spacious, with a separate relaxing alcove in the tower, a baldaquin bed and a large bathroom, just perfect. The restaurant was delicious and breakfast in the morning was good, too.
Only area of improvement, and it is a major one that almost cost them my 5th star, is the understaffing issue. It is a 5* and as such you pay 5* prices and expect 5* service. Upon arrival, there was no bellboy, nor valet, nor anybody for that matter. We waited in the car for a few minutes and then I decided to see what was going on. There was no bellboy nor valet (sounds futile but we had heavy luggage and it was raining) because the front staff guy, albeit very friendly, was playing all roles....this understaffing issue repeated itself at the bar, where it took a while to get a drink, albeit excellent once there, because the barman double-hatted as waiter for the restaurant. At the restaurant, same issue, we had to serve ourselves wine and water, as they were clearly understaffed. At the breakfast, less so an issue but do not be in a rush as it will take 5 minutes to press your own orange juice... finally, upon checkout, one of my friends did lose patience after he had to wait 15-20 minutes to be able to check out as the front desk staff was clearly overwhelmed.
Thankfully the service, when there, was flawless and food was delicious.. Checkout with us was smoother as we left on Monday and we were probably the only one left but it was the same front desk guy who checked us out and put the luggage in the car. I felt very uncomfortable asking him to put the luggages in the car and he was a bit surprised as well but they did not give me another option.
So overall stunning property with memorable room, spa and food, but the understaffing needs to be fixed as I am not sure my friend who waited 20 minutes to leave had the same experience overall we had and would return. We definitely would.

This is the best restaurant I ever went to in Belgium. The view is amazing, the castle is beautiful and the food is outstanding (believe me, I'm used to go to gastronomic restaurants)

grounds were very pretty but not well-maintained, with trash and broken glass found in the manicured lawn behind the manor.
rooms were quaint with modern bathrooms, but sound was insulated poorly and we heard every creak and slam of the door throughout the night.
staff were polite but distant, and seemed to have trouble remembering guests despite the relatively small capacity. most are trilingual which is great.
biggest disappointment was the spa - for all the hype, it was left unattended for most of Friday and the reception was only manned on Saturday afternoon. despite being manor guests, we were unable to book the spa through the concierge but had to keep returning to the spa reception to book it manually. by the time we met the spa staff on Saturday, the whole mood was ruined and we would rather spend our money elsewhere. more thought needed in the facilitation of spa services.
the entire establishment is very pleasant and elegant, but not worth the money. perhaps we have been excessively pampered by other hotels; we will not return here.
