I used Expedia to book three nights at Old Town Lx Suites in August 2022. When I made the booking, I selected "Deluxe Double Room" with king-size bed. I selected that room based on the description and the photo, which showed a clean and spacious room with a king-size bed, nice furniture, and two floor-to-ceiling windows that let in a lot of light. When I actually arrived in Lisbon, however, I was put in a completely different room: small, shabby, not a king-size bed, no nice furniture, and no floor-to-ceiling windows. Thinking it was just a mixup, I contacted the proprietor and explained that I'd been put in the wrong room. Instead of fixing the issue, the proprietor offered various nonsensical explanations, including that the photos on the website were mixed up and that the booking was somehow different on their end than it was on my end. (But my booking also included a *description* of the room, which was completely different from the room I was given; and anyway, it's fraudulent to advertise a room using the wrong photos; so none of this made sense). Long story short, I booked a nice room and was put in a different, shabby room, and the guesthouse did nothing to fix the problem. Whether it was an innocent mistake on their end or just a scam, I don't know, but I bore the burden (and reviews from other guests on Expedia suggest this is not the first time they have put someone in the wrong room). The room also had issues: the top hinge on the patio door was broken, so the door kind of fell in; one of the toilet flushes did not work well; bed was hard; flies on patio. Caveat emptor.

They robbed my caution and the one of another girl that contacted me for the same reason!!!! THEY JUST STOLE THE MONEY AND NEVER ANSWERED THE EMAILS AGAIN!!!! PLEASE PLEASE DON'T GET CAUGHT ON THIS TOO! It's really a terrible service and they are thieves!!!

Smelly mould with no view. We booked an apartment with a kitchenet. No cooking utensils no tea or coffee or kettle. No air con. No toilet paper!

Now known as Old Town LX suites, we were given room 104 and it's a very nice spacious room with a balcony. The room has well functioning airco (only cooling used). The flatscreen tv was mounted quite high, almost above the door. But the location is great! Close to metro and ferry, timeout market and Rebeira market. Plenty of nice bars and restaurants in the neighbourhood... also the city center is close by. It's not perfect, not sound proof but it's also a matter of knowing this and respecting the other guests. I wouldn't put a high pile carpet in a hotel room, it's hard to keep clean even if you vacuum every day. Mails aren't answered, only standard forms are sent, switching from English to French??? I was lucky people were on site to let me in. With all the luggage and the searching the codes etc were just too much at the arrival. Once settled that all worked great! We had a very nice stay of 5 days!

One of the worst experience in my life!
Firstly, the apartments are situated in a dingy ally that always smell of urine but being open-minded we still went in to the apartment.
It was clear that the owners decided to do up the place and to be fair it was very nice to look at. However that is it... The only positive...
The apartment themselves stank of urine and the sheets were dirty and stained. However, again, we tried to keep an open mind about the place...
We really shouldn't have... One our second day our shower started to chuck up urine (picture attached). So we called Anna, who after explaining for 5 minutes said they will send a plumber round (to be fair they did and it was sorted) but there was no mention of an apology or a refund! Given that this place still charges a fortune for the apartment and this is clearly an ongoing issue as other comments also reflect the plumbing issue.
DO NOT STAY HERE!
