Relais Castelbigozzi

This hotel is located in one of the oldest fortified castles in the area, towering high in the countryside of Strove. In the Middle Ages this castle belonged to the ancestors of the old noble Montanini family. Its coat of arms well recounts the family's history. Colle Val d'Elsa is only a 10-minute drive away. Florence is just 50 minutes away by car, whilst Monteriggioni, San Gimignano, Volterra and Chianti are all also within driving distance. Today the castle is a tourist residence, which has been renovated maintaining the original elements of the structure from the 12th Century. It comprises a total of 14 suites and offers guests the opportunity to relax in the Tuscan countryside without having to forego quality accommodation. The hotel offers a gorgeous swimmingg pool, a bar, Internet wireless access, bicycle hire and parking facilities. Room service is also available. All suites are equipped with individually adjustable air conditioning/heating, a double bed and an en suite bathroom with a Jacuzzi bathtub or shower. Rooms also include: a living room, a kitchenette (use on request, charged locally), a direct dial telephone, wireless internet access, TV, a minibar and a safe. There is an outdoor swimming pool set in these natural surroundings with sun loungers. A number of massages are on offer. Golf, tennis, horse riding and trekking paths, as well as bicycle, car and motorbike rental, are all on offer in the immediate vicinity.
