Really disappointed. We wanted an iron and ironing board delivered to the room, as per the dozens of similar hotels we've stayed at.Only to be informed this isn't hotel policy and you have to iron your clothes beside the reception desk! The alternative being to pay for each item to be ironed by the hotel at a cost of hundreds of pounds!

We had a lovely stay at Madeira Gardens and would be happy to stay again. Príscila welcomed us and made us feel at home. The room was clean and spacious, and provided lots of storage space. Part the drapes for a full view of the cityscape below and the ocean. We had no issues with the air conditioning despite the sunny south exposure. There was plenty of variety for breakfast. The rooftop bar offered sweeping views. It was a wonderful place to stay in Madeira.

Amei a estadia neste hotel. O quarto deluxe é simplesmente lindo, a cama é muito confortável, a varanda com vista para a piscina e para o mar. O hotel presenteou-nos com um copo de espumante enquanto fazíamos o check-in e quando chegámos ao quarto tínhamos vinho da madeira e frutas variadas. Nunca estive num hotel com um staff tão simpático e atencioso, sendo que a Priscila e o Vítor foram muito importantes durante a nossa estadia. Muito obrigado e quando regressar à Madeira, quero voltar a este hotel!

We’re just back from ten days here.
A long awaited holiday that did not disappoint. Adults only hotel.
Flight, transfer, welcome from reception was smooth & trouble free. Likewise when we left for home. Well done TUI.
Room was spacious with Queen size bed & everything we needed. “Mountain view” is a bit of a misnomer given the hillside at rear of hotel is covered in mostly detached houses but that didn’t bother us. Balcony was tiny but of no consequence given we were rarely in the room during day. We did experience some disturbance/noise from external kitchen extraction system/air conditioning throughout night but once accustomed, we slept through it.
All staff were efficient, kind, helpful, friendly & must make special mention of Priscilla on reception who sets a wonderful example of what hospitality really means.
Everywhere was spotless both in hotel & wider Madeira island.
All encounters with staff across the island was smiley, kind and everyone spoke English!
Pools/spa/restaurant all excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed the buffet service (half board) and the variety of dishes on offer. Plenty of everything throughout service.
Would we go back? Yes! Next Spring 2023. Cant wait.

Back from a perfect week away here. Rooms were great. Food and drinks were excellent and all the staff were friendly and helpful. And a special mention to Priscilla on the front desk who always had a smile for everyone and nothing was too much trouble...

Just got back from a week stay with the wife. We had only payed for bed and breakfast. Over all was very impressed with the hotel. But could only gave it three stars as the air conditioning unit could do with being upgraded.

Adorei o hotel, a vista era incrível. Staff super atencioso Pequeno almoço bem recheado A zona do jacuzzi no rooftop é excecional, e a zona do spa também está bem conseguida. O acesso ao hotel, vindo de autocarro, fica um pouco difícil pela inclinação da estrada e a sua localização não é super central.

Bags took 3hours after us arriving , so was left without them, unable to do anything. Food was very poor, cheap and sometimes cold. No entertainment apart from a mid day quiz and aqua dance…Very un organised set up, had a 30 min talk about the hotel but after no one knew where anything actually was. The pictures look nothing like the hotel. Looks aged, smaller and pool was that cold no one wants to get in! (Even in 27 degree heat).I had to argue with the staff to open the gym, as they said it was closed due to painting, although one small wall was being painted.Very poor, luckily we could afford to go out for meals, otherwise holiday would of been very poor.Avoid staying here.

La valoración del objeto no es fácil porque si lo tratamos como un hotel es de cuatro estrellas y si es una casa de vacaciones es de cinco estrellas. En ambos casos, la desventaja es la piscina pequeña y poco profunda. Servicio de recepción a nivel de casa de vacaciones, mientras que los animadores son impecables. Pedimos una habitación estándar más alta, grande, luminosa y limpia, aunque ubicada directamente sobre el área de fumadores, no había olor a humo. Desayuno en forma de buffet sueco internacional con sabor británico-alemán, prácticamente sin platos locales y cambiando un poco, sin embargo, la oferta de frutas locales es bastante buena, sin embargo, limitada a tres tipos. Hotel solo para adultos, pero las parejas estaban restringidas. Veladas con música en vivo, buenos vinos a precio moderado, no se recomienda la cerveza, pero no es tierra de vinos.

Great hotel, nice staff, broad breakfast. Large pool and many places to lay. The only bad thing is that the restaurant is overpriced €34 for buffet without drinks if you want to try it out. It gets cheaper if you pay for more times in advance.

Just back from a week stay with my boyfriend. Beautiful hotel and staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great every morning aside from our last morning. It seemed like everyone had come down earlier for food before departure and we were left with fewer options than previous mornings. Staff were not as attentive and porridge was like water. Every other morning breakfast was incredible and staff very attentive. We stayed half board and has a buffet each night. For the most part the food was great although very repetitive. My boyfriend has an egg allergy and it was very unclear what he was able to eat. There was no allergies listed on the food descriptions. I asked a member of staff who asked the chef if there was anything egg free he could eat, the chef said he would make him something. Arrived out 10 minutes later... My boyfriend ate half of it and ended up with an allergic reaction and he was unwell the remainder of the evening. Aside from that the staff were friendly and we found something we could eat each night. Room was lovely and clean, I booked a Juliet balcony with a sea view.. we could see the sea but only partially the view was mostly of the mountain. After speaking to other guests who also booked the Juliet balcony seemed to have a full sea view so we were a bit disappointed with that. Room was lovely and clean, air conditioning could have been a bit easier to use (maybe instructions) and also a bit cooler. On the last night we both noticed an ant infestation on our bed side tables. We had a beautiful relaxing stay and details given are why it didn't get a 5 star rating.

Um excelente hotel com boas vistas e com um serviço de grande qualidade. Um pequeno almoço muito b confeccionado e com uma enorme oferta de alimentos. Com duas piscinas, uma interior e outra exterior. Bar com piano, sauna e banho turco são outras ofertas que o hotel tem para oferecer.

Política de sustentabilidade é ridícula, só serve para pouparem na limpeza diária. Solicitei posteriormente a li pela diária e, sem deixar indicação para troca de toalhas, o mm era feito. De resto, pequeno-almoço bom e muito variado. O facto de ser só para adultos é um grande ponto a favor. Condições óptimas das piscinas e spa, assim como rooftop e jacuzzi.

Un trato exquisito desde el personal de rcepcion hasta el de limpieza . El bufet impresionante en cuanto a variedad , pulcritud yel esmerado cuidado de los detalles ( por poner una pega..el cafe era un poco simple, pero por poner un pero) La habiación espaciosa, buena cama y un baño muy completo y pulcro ecelente estancia , la recomendamos sinceramente.
