Terra nostra is one of my favourite places in Sao Miguel. A must for anyone visiting. I advice to stay a night at the hotel to have a full experience.

"Midnight at the oasis"..hotel guests get 24 hour access to the thermal pools, u could come back 10 times and not have the whole springs to yourself which unbelievably, I did.. unforgettable ❤ staff and experience was 5 Star from the moment I arrived. Thank you all so much!

Terminamos a nossa estadia, neste belo vale, com um excelente jantar no NT. Serviço diferenciado, com funcionários extremamente simpáticos e disponíveis. Espaço muito bonito e cozinha de excelência. Degustamos uma sopa de funcho e uma de inhame das Furnas (excelentes) e o típico prato da Furnas: o seu cozido preparado e servido com requinte. O vinho, sugerido pelo sommelier de serviço, foi o O Oenólogo Vinhas Velhas 2018 da casa da Passarela. Combinou muito bem. Terminamos com um "Limão Galego" e um "Chocolate e Maracujá" que complementaram e bem o nosso jantar. Um restaurante de referência em São Miguel.

I give 3 stars because that is what it should rated, it is not a 4 star establishment. They take shortcuts which 4 star hotels should not. First, they allow you to request coffee before the restaurant opens. We were told that we had to go to lobby to pick it up. There we found a tray that consisted of a dispenser of luck warm water. There were packs of instant coffee....instant coffee should not even be served in a 1 star hotel. They had paper cups with lids that did not fit. The person behind desk tried to put lid on but also found it did not fit. I asked how I could carry 3 cups without lids to my room. She had no answer and walked away. A 4 star hotel should have fresh perked coffee available in decent drinking cups.
Dinner and service were only above average. Staff were always around (a bit overwhelming) but only until we were done eating. We sat for 10 minutes until I was finally able to ask for our check. 5 more minutes passed and no bill. My family left the table and a few minutes later I asked for check again. 5 minutes later, someone brought my check and left. Another 5 minutes until I was able to flag someone down to ask about methods of payment. He said he would bring the machine back. After another 5 minutes, I became too upset and left the table. At least 30 minutes of my time was wasted. Unacceptable.
Shampoo/conditioner felt like all conditioner. We had to use soap to get our hair clean. Remote for TV did not work. This should have been checked by room attendants. Did not appreciate being asked about adding tip to my card upon check out. A 4 star property should never need to ask for tips. There were a couple of other minor details that a 4 star hotel should not overlook.
On the positive side, most of the staff were pleasant and professional - aside from the examples above. Pools were amazing. Grounds are beautiful. Overall appearance was worthy of its 4 star rating.

O restaurante deixa a desejar. Não vale o preço que cobram. O atendimento é muito bom, mas a comida é abaixo da expectativa. O parque com as piscinas e jacuzzis são muito agradáveis.

The hot springs and access to the park is great. The staff is also very helpful and accommodating. However, from a food & beverages quality/price view it is too pretentious compared to other place to eat and drink in the island.

Fuimos a comer al restaurante, la comida en general no nos gustó mucho, y además fue una cuenta de 75€ para dos adultos y 1 niño, el trato del personal muy bueno,el restaurante muy bonito y con grandes vistas para el jardín botánico, lo único bueno que sacamos fue que por comer allí, te regalan las entradas para el parque,donde puedes bañarte y pasar un día de sueño es precioso

We did not stay, but we dined. And service was impeccable! Amazing food. Amazing service. A lost art that I was so happy to stumble across at Terra Nostra’s in-house restaurant. TIP: No TVs. No phones. No iPads or other random devices. This is a dining experience and an art of human conversation.

A melhor experiência que tive na ilha. Fomos ver a saida dos cozidos às caldeiras, vimos as placas do Terra Nostra e decidimos experimentar . Os empregados são muito correctos, simpáticos e bastante informativos. O cozido é sem dúvida a melhor experiência gastronómica da ilha, em que os empregados explicam a confecção do mesmo. Bebemos bem e comemos melhor, foi nos oferecido dois voucher de entrada ao parque e visita onde o jacuzzi é uma das maravilhas do parque.

Atención insuperable, sitio de ensueño donde te puedes relajar en los jacuzzis y en el lago de aguas termales en plena naturaleza. Las habitaciones son muy amplias y la cama muy cómoda.

Agradable restaurante, comimos el famoso cozido de las furnas, abundante y las carnes muy tiernas (y se puede repetir de lo que quieras) 48€ para dos personas. Es un plato pesado, difícil terminarlo. El vino que nos recomendaron estaba rico. Después nos invitaron a visitar los maravillosos jardines y termas. Merece la pena pasear por el jardín, de lo más bonito que hemos visto en la isla.

Wonderful hotel. Can't fault anything. We had a deluxe room facing the gardens. The room opened out onto a huge area of decking, which gave great views of the garden.
Very friendly and helpful staff all round.
To have a large botanical garden and the famous thermal pool included was a real treat.
The whole hotel had meticulous hygiene standards which was very reassuring given the current Covid situation.

Comí aquí el cocido y estaba muy bueno. Con copa de vino y postre para compartir nos salió a 35 euros por persona y los regalaron la entrada al parque que es impresionante.

We just have come back from our holiday. We had a fantastic 10th year wedding anniversary. And we would like to thank all staff of this lovely hotel for romantic atmosphere which was created by the staff during our staying. Our room was decorated very special covered by flowers, candles, and champagne. The room was very spacious always very clean and tidy, I usually don’t use cleaning products from a hotel, but I fell in love with French brand CODAGE which was provided by the hotel. The Botanic Garden of which we spent many hours just enjoying walking around. The geothermal pools and lake which are opened 24 hours for hotels guess (public can enter between 1000-1600) makes this hotel very amazing. The location is perfect, you can easily walking to the centre of village and for picking up a mineral water. Food was delicious. We did like the Terra Nostra restaurant. Food was delicious, serves was amazing. We would definitely like to go back and spend more time in this paradise hotel.

Our stay at the Terra Nostra Hotel was perfect, from the staff across the whole hotel making you feel so comfortable and always willing to help, to the excellent food, perfect room with such a wonderful view and the park which was breathtaking.We had two massages while we were staying, each of which were incredible and left us feeling light and relaxed.The whole atmosphere of the hotel was so calming and exquisitely clean. Feels extremely COVID safe too.If you’re looking for somewhere romantic, beautiful and to be part of nature, this hotel is it. I can’t emphasise enough how lovely each staff member was - best staff in any hotel we’ve ever been in.Thank you all for making our stay so memorable and special.

Pasamos allí una noche y fue la mejor de todo nuestro viaje a Azores. Sin duda, el hotel merece muchísimo la pena.Lo mejor es que puedes disfrutar de las termas y el jardín a cualquier hora si te hospedas en el hotel y así evitar las horas de acceso público.Muy, muy recomendable pasar allí al menos una noche.

Si vuestra intención es solo venir a comer Coccido no vengáis. Os obligan a pagar uno por persona (25€) no dejándote compartir y en nuestra opinión con 1 es suficiente para 2 porque es muchísima comida y de esta manera se queda comida en el plato, y aparte no nos gustó mucho el sabor. En cuanto a la entrada que te dan para el jardín botánico y las termas es solo si consumes un Coccido y como os digo por persona, por lo que viendo las demás opciones recomiendo iros a otro restaurante que por 12€ lo teneis (no se si mejor o peor, pero si os dejan compartir) y ya luego ir a vuestro ritmo si quereis ir o no a termas o jardín botánico.

Hotel de los años 30 renovado. Servicio excelente, personal muy amable y profesional, habitaciones amplias y cómodas. Buen restaurante y, lo mejor, el parque. Sólo por ese parque vale la pena venir a Azores.
