This place is FANTASTIC. My husband and I got in well before our check in time and we wereexpecting to drop off our luggage and bum around until our room was ready, but no! They got us in our clean, beautiful room right away!Loved the rooftop bar and restaurant, but definitely make a reservation! We were able to walk in on a Tuesday. Later in the week we wanted to go back but we couldn’t get in for dinner or even drinks, which ended up being fine because we got to try the place a cross the street, Gandhi, which was fantastic!Love the location and neighborhood too.

Updating my previous review. The hotel management took my complaint seriously and offered a free massage to compensate for the mix up with my previous reservation last week. I was very pleased with the quality of my treatment as well as with the beautiful spa facilities. I will come back! Thank you.

Very bad expérience at this 5 star hotel that does not deserve its rating. Arrived on friday night ok Went out all saturday doing tourism Got back at 7.45 PM, room had not been done at all!!! No housekeeping. After long time complaining, Room Was done while out for diner…On sunday I asked thé manager for an explaination. He told me that was normal that they started the rooms from 4 to 8PM which is very convienient for anybody coming back from the office or a day touring… Be aware if you are planning to stay at thé hôtel and rest on your bed or take a shower before going out!No discount, no sorries, not one word of sorrow… not a 5 star hotel and servive. Rather take an airbnb

Comenzó de maravilla y resulta que no es lo que parece. Reservé este hotel porque tendría una estancia prolongada. Necesitaba espacio y alojamiento para esto. El día que llegué me gustó mi habitación. Me di cuenta de que la temperatura no era tan fría, pero la habitación era espaciosa, así que traté de ajustarme. El tercer día, la recepción me informó que estaban teniendo problemas con la unidad de aire acondicionado y que no se arreglaría adecuadamente ese día, por lo que sugirieron que me mudara a otra habitación. Después de regresar de mi día, me degradaron a una habitación muy pequeña y oscura. Fui a hablar con ellos abajo y cuatro empleados detrás del escritorio se negaron a reconocer mi incomodidad. No recomendaré este hotel en absoluto. Muy decepcionado por la forma en que me tratan.

The Lumiares is the perfect Lisbon hotel for unpretentious good service, food and rooms. We had a suite on the 4th floor and although it had no view (most of the rooms don’t because of the nature of the buildings and streets), it was large comfortable and well set out with a full kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom. The Lumi roof restaurant was lovely if slightly lacking in depth on the menu. Breakfasts were also held there and I have to give a shout out to the breakfast chef who made some of the lightest and delicious omelettes I have had in a long time! All the staff were exceedingly friendly and could not do enough for you. The location at the top of Barrrio alto places the hotel in the heart of the city and the night life action - if that’s is what you want. Hundreds of bars and restaurants to choose from for every taste and wallet. Deffo one of our favourite hotels and cities…..we will be back!!

It started of great and it turns out it isn’t how it seems. I booked this hotel because I would have a lengthy stay. I needed space and accommodation for this. The day I arrived I liked my room. I notice that it was not as cool in temperature but the room was spacious so I tried to adjust. The third day, reception informed me that they were having problems with the air conditioning unit and it will not be properly fix that day so they suggested that I should move to another room. After returning from my day I was downgraded to a very small, dark room. I went to speak to them downstairs and four employees behind the desk all refused to acknowledge my discomfort. I will not recommend this hotel at all. Very disappointed in how I am being treated.

My friend and I recently got a 2-bedroom suite at The Lumaires for our girls trip in Lisbon. The property is conveniently located and was within walking distance of everywhere we wanted to go. More than anything we LOVED the style/decor. Our apartment was so tastefully well-appointed that it looked like it could be an inspiration on HGTV. Everything in the apartment worked and we slept great in the comfy beds. The staff was always helpful and friendly, and my friend had one of the best massages of her life at the spa. We also LOVED the rooftop bar! I'm a travel journalist, and I wrote Travel & Leisure's guide to Lisbon. I'm so glad I included The Lumaires in my hotel recommendations!

Great place to stay in the heart of Chiado. Suites are very comfortable and well appointed. Will definitely become our mainstay for Lisbon weekends. The pizza restaurant downstairs is excellent and the rooftop terrace has lovely views.
