We absolutely enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Staff went above and beyond. We would like to give an extra shout out to Charles in valet. He went above and beyond in every possible way, and is the kindest, sweetest man I have ever met. If you have the pleasure of working with him, please consider tipping him extra. He will make sure everyone of your last needs is met and will do it with a smile on his face! Nós absolutamente apreciamos a nossa estadia neste hotel.

Quarto imenso. Melhor custo beneficio em Chicago. Nota 1000.

extremely disappointed with this hotel. the lobby is nice, but the room was extremely out dated, poor mattress, ripped sheets , stains on comforter and overall felt cheap. zero client sevice as well. the restaurant downstairs even though had a full bar but couldn't serve alcohol because their license was suspended and forced you to order some food to get a 'complimentary' glass of red or white wine. service at the restaurant was horrendous, and we literally felt like we were bothering everyone working there. I will not go back there for a long while for sure. such a disappointment.

Great little boutique hotel in a great location in Chicago. The place has been mostly completely redone with the rooms looking very modern but the lobby and elevator keeping their old charm. Many great restaurants and bars in the area.Definitely recommended. Definitivamente recomendado.

This was the worst stay at this hotel I've ever had. The only redeeming quality was the location. They lost their liquor license. We planned on sitting in the beautiful outdoor dining area for a few beverages, but could only get one drink if you ordered an entree. They moved us to single king room when we had booked 2 queens. We asked for the sofa bed to be set up; we recieved 3 flat sheets in a pile, no blanket or pillows. The bathtub was filthy with hair in the tub and the vent fan above the tub was so dirty, it looked like it hasn't been cleaned in months. We talked to the front desk about our stay and they said a manager would reach out to us that day. We called 3 days later after they had not called and the response was it takes 3-5 business days for reply. When we got our bill we were charged $200 more than our reservation confirmation price. When we called we were told they'd get back to us in several business days. This is unacceptable for so many reasons and we still haven't heard back.

The Talbott was a great place for a weekend in Chicago. It's a little north of the action but much quieter and definitely close to good shopping and food, easy access to Ubers and the L, etc. The room we were given first was fairly small and the view looked directly at another building. The hotels position means most of the rooms have obstructed views so don't be expecting anything spectacular out the window especially if you come late in the week. We were in early in the week so we were able to be moved to one with more to see. The service would have been 5 stars but we ordered ice to the room twice for pre-dinner drinks and it never showed up one hour the first day and 2.5 hours the second day. The front desk was spectacular, Emily is great. And the waitstaff in the restaurant was very attentive. Also, the bell desk saw us walk right past into the hotel with our bags and didn't offer to help. At the time I thought maybe they were the valets or hosts for the restaurant but no, they justlet us walk by.

My husband and I were on our way through Chicago on the way to Door County, WI & stayed at the Talbott. The Talbott has always been one our favorite boutique hotels in Chicago & I was concerned when I read the recent Yelp reviews. That was silly. Our stay was delightful. The room was larger than expected, with a comfortable bed with one firm & one soft pillow for each of us.The bathroom was also updated from our last stay & nicely appointed. The towels in the bathroom were soft and fluffy. Our room was on the 3rd floor and was quiet. Free coffee was available in the lobby in the morning & it was very good. The staff was friendly, greeting us in the elevator, helping us stuff giant luggage into our Uber and competently problem solving the usual issues. If you're expecting any hotel to be fully staffed post-COVID? Your expectations are unrealistic. That said, the Talbott seemed adequately staffed with a hard working, helpful staff. We had a lovely stay and I'dhighly recommend this hotel to friends! As toalhas do banheiro eram macias e fofas.

Friendly staff, good location, comfortable amenities. The Talbott is a fairly small hotel nestled in a great walkable location. It is clean, spacious and updated. They still have housekeeping (some hotels have stopped due to Covid) and have a restaurant with a bar on the first floor.
