O estacionamento e pago. Quando for ficar proximo a universal com certeza ficarei nesse hotel.
Hotel com decoração praiana, vibe super alto astral. Ambientes amplos, limpos e claros.
Universal endless surf side.
This was my first trip to Universal, and my husband's second. He had stayed at a friend's timeshare previously, and regrets not having chosen a hotel experience after staying here. The rooms were so clean and had great poolside views. We got upgraded for our anniversary which was so thoughtful of them! The concierge Stephen was so knowledgeable - he gave us advice on which rides to go to first for our hour-early trip to the park, and what times to check certain things out. He was very detailed and descriptive in his instructions, which made the whole experience seamless. The check in and check out process was effortless. We would absolutely stay here again if we are in the area, and recommendbit to our friends and family.
Our stay at Dockside was wonderful. We stayed in the 2 room suite. The room was very clean and housekeeping was extremely quick when filling requests. The heated pool was nice especially since it was rather chilly during our stay in January. The food was pretty good for a cafeteria, especially the pizza.I really enjoyed the lounge/bar off the lobby. The bartenders were super nice and attentive, even when busy. It was a nice area to sit, relax and watch some football after exhausting day at the parks. Lastly, we never had to wait more than a few minutes on busses going to or from the parks. Overall, my favorite resort thus far. We've stayed at many Disney resorts but this was the first time at a Universal resort and we definitely preferred the relaxing fun environment here!
The rooms were cute, but not very big. Check-in was a disaster. I checked in online prior to getting to the hotel, but I had to stand in the regular check-in line and waited 45 minutes as there were only 2 people at reception. A manager only later joined. We got in late b/c we drove from Miami and I had a 7 month old with me who was hungry and crabby. I was hoping for a smooth quick check-in. Not only that, but our room was VERY FAR in the sense that carrying our luggage, plus a baby is not easy. On the plus side, upon returning to our room, the beds were made and we had fresh towels. Breakfast was also really good and had a wonderful variety for all. The rooms were noisy; you could not only here the kids in our room running around (their footsteps), but you could hear the kids above us running around. Also, the bathroom door could be a little bit higher on the hinges. We had that towel on the floor when you stepped out of the shower, but the door would push it away.
We'll consider staying here again for our family vacation, no doubt! We were worried at first when we saw how packed the lobby was, but we did the mobile check-in option, and it took less than five minutes to get our room keys. The parking was plentiful. We were able to park near our room. As for the room, it was perfect! It was spotless, modern, and spacious. Pier 8 Market was excellent, and the food was delicious. The transportation to the parks was convenient. We never had to wait more than ten minutes for a bus. Overall, the experience here made our family vacation much better after having a not-so-great experience at the parks.
Hotel room was beautiful and very well thought/laid out. Tons of storage for luggage and daily use items. The 2 bedroom setup and kitchenette were perfect for our family of 5. The front desk staff was very helpful and we found Pier 8 to be a great deal with good food that is very reasonable priced. Our experience at the pool was very different--no pool towels available for guests at 6:30 or 7 PM and when I asked employees for clean towels, they shrugged and just said the hotel didn't have any more. I was left searching for 45 minutes until finally waiting in line at the front desk to get bathroom towels for pool use. There was also an abundance of empty beer cans/cocktail cups and food trash all over the lounge chairs. I could not find a clean group of chairs for my family of 5 and settled on putting our belongings on 2 chairs. While the hotel itself met expectations, the pool area was very disappointing and missed the mark in cleanliness, helpfulness, and basic amenities. We will most likely not return to this particular hotel.
Beautiful hotel! We got the 2 room suite and it was spacious. I love the picnic table in the room too. It's a bit further from the parks but I'm pretty sure I saw park shuttles by the main entrance. The hotel restaurant had a variety of food and it was easy for my picky kids to choose something to eat right away. I very much enjoyed my stay
This Hotel is fabulous, the rooms are spacious, bright and immaculately clean. The Customer Service was excellent. Fiona at the front desk went above and beyond to make our trip fantastic. We didn't rent a car during our stay but the shuttle buses were always there whenever we needed them to take us to the parks. There are plenty of food options in the food court area with quick friendly service. The Pool is amazing, it's huge with sparkling water, palm trees, sand, It's hard to say Goodbye. We will be back though.
Cons: Bring your earplugs. This has to be the noisiest hotel I have ever stayed in. While I appreciate the fact that their is no carpet in the hallways or rooms making it more sanitary, they obviously did not take into consideration the noise that accompanies a family hotel. In addition, the walls seem paper thin as you can clearly hear conversations of you neighbors. When planning a full day at the theme parks, you definitely want to be well-rested, yet staying here you are constantly hearing your upstairs neighbors walking, moving chairs, dropping the toilet seat, etc. we also had the pleasure of listening to someone coughing up a lunch at all hours of the night.Pros: great location for Universal, Islands of Adventure, and Volcano Bay. Shuttle buses are clean and seem to be very running all the time. A big plus considering the price of parking at the park. Rooms are cute. Kids enjoyed the decor. Early park access. While nice, we only were able to go on one ride as they have so few rides open and so many guests in the park. Plus, when you didn’t sleep the night before due to the excessive noise, who wants to go that early.Summary: I wouldn’t stay here for again, even if they comped the room. With so many options in Orlando, I’d rather pay a little extra to ensure we are all well rested to enjoy the parks.
Excelente
I have zero complaints here.. the staff and facilities are awesome! Unfortunately the pool for tower 1 is not operational right now but they made tower 2 pool available to folks staying at the resort. The pool by itself is very impressive.Shuttle rides to Universal CONSTANTLY. We never waited more than 10 minutes for a bus coming from or going to the park. Food prices are on par with park prices but quality is great. We chose to eat in the park based on this. It was very close to the same price to eat breakfast at The Three Broom Sticks in Hogsmead as to eat here in the Cafe. Top notch though.
A clean new resort with all the amenities you could ask for. Never had to wait over ten minutes for a bus and the staff were all very accommodating and polite. The gym was a small size, but had all the necessary equipment for a quick vacation workout. With the affordable price tag and extra thirty minutes in park before open, this hotel is worth the stay!
The hotel was clean and nice. The staff were friendly, most of them anyways. The food offered on site was very over-priced and not good at all. Our pizza was expensive and doughy, not cooked all the way through. This happened twice. The other options they had there were just not worth what we paid. To get to any destination in the hotel, it requires A LOT of walking. The pool's hours were weird and we only got to swim one time. The people above us were so loud, kept us awake at 12am and on. We called to complain and security went up to their room and asked them to keep the noise down. This did not do much of anything, as they continued to be very loud on other nights and woke me up one morning. Our key card at the car gate did not work a single time we tried it, everyday we were there. We paid for parking, but ended up having to park far away due to there not being enough spaces in the regular parking lot. The shuttle service was great, the bus drivers were not very friendly. Overall, i would probably stay somewhere else the next time we come to Florida. For the price we paid, I think our experience should have been MUCH better.
We enjoyed staying at Dockside Inn and Suites. The rooms were great, and the hotel was very clean. The walls are thin, and you can definitely hear the people in the room above you, if they’re heavy walkers at all (or have kids/babies). The food at Pier 8 is fantastic and convenient; we ate several meals there because it was easy, affordable, and tasty. The gift shop is also a great place to browse without the crowds of the theme parks. (Prices are exactly the same as in the parks.) The bar and Starbucks in the lobby offer great ways to start and end your day. :) The coffee makers are NOT Keurigs, so don’t bring your own K-cups because they won’t work. (Found that out the hard way.) The staff was always friendly and helpful, and while the hotel itself isn’t a destination or anything special, it provides a great place to stay for a trip to the Universal theme parks. Beware that if you drive, they charge you $15 per day for parking. Not exorbitant but not a nice surprise at check-in either. Overall we enjoyed our stay!
I loved my first time experience to this park and the Dockside Inn and Suites Resort. The Staff was very friendly andhelpful. The rooms were neat & clean and the beds were comfortable. I loved the fact that there were buses at all times of the day (up to 12:00 a.m) to take us to and from the parks. I felt that the staff/customer service really felt as though their job was to please their guest as anytime I called, they were quick to get me what I needed and they always did it with a smile. The only thing I had an issue with was the price of the food in the hotel. It cost way too much for what you received and (in my opinion) the food didn't taste good enough for the price. Other than that, I had a great time and will return in the near future.
Ja me hospedei no Cabana Bay e no Aventura e embora o hotel seja novo deixou a desejar.
Check-in is at 4PM which kinda stinks since I like to check-in early. Other than that my stay was awesome.I had a great view of the pool, there is a nice dresser, closet with hangers (nice wooden ones!), and a mini fridge. My room was also cleaned and restocked (towels/soaps) everyday. The staff was incredibly friendly and they didn’t even charge me when I lost my room key. The cafeteria had awesome food, but be prepared to pay more than your average restaurant. (around 18-20 dollars per person.)Overall I had a really nice stay. And the hotel is only about 10 minutes from Universal and 25 minutes from Disney.
Had a fantastic time at Dockside Inn. The parking lot was busier than expected and we forgot bf disability tag at home so we had to park farther away but the front desk was able to get us a first floor room that made it easier to access pool, parking and smoking area. The price point of food was fantastic, pool is excellent, and early theme park access was a great benefit. We wish the arcade had more games and was open late and that the bus wait was not so long in morning ( but after first day we drove instead) so that worked out well. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We plan to return in the future.
The room had a funny stench when we arrived. Not sure what that was from. It looked very clean though. Not all of your staff is nice and you need to reevaluate some of the people you hire. You would be better off short staffed. The cafeteria people are rude. They made it seem like they hate their jobs and they have attitude problems. Both days I stayed here I got attitude from staff. They tried to double charge me for a brownie when I only got one and they got annoyed and started talking in a different language together when we saw they double charged us and they had to reset their register. This is disappointing when you’re spending a lot of money here already. I wish I would of wrote down the three staff specifically who I had problems with because other than that, majority of the other staff was friendly.
This hotel is awesome! Super cute! The staff is very friendly but miss Fiona at the front desk definitely left a lasting impression for us. She was super sweet, fun, and offered some great information/advice on the best ways to get around the parks. The room was comfortable and I definitely enjoyed the little details the rooms had. It was definitely a great vacation and having staff that just ensure your experience is a great one by having awesome attitudes, made the vacation even better. We also loved the proximity to the parks and places to eat in the area. The only thing was the super long lines sometimes to wait for elevators but that doesn’t change our experience. We definitely look forward to staying here again!
PROS: Hotel was clean. It was also nicer than I expected. The room was comfortable, air conditioner worked well, no weird smells in the room, and the shower was excellent (good water pressure and big...no bath tub though FYI). Shuttles ran frequently and made getting to and from Orlando Studios easy. It was great to be able to get into the theme park an hour early. (If you want to see either of the Harry Potter worlds, you should get that as soon as possible. By mid-morning, you can barely move from all the people.) The pool area(s) were spacious and kid-friendly. The bar in the lobby was a great way to unwind after spending all day at the parks. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. I felt the hotel price was reasonable given the amenities/shuttles. CONS: I wish the resort had coffee makers in the rooms, or at least more ways to get coffee/hot water. We had to get up before 6am every morning just to get to the lobby and get black coffee in time to get to the theme park for early admission. As other reviewers have commented, the walls are very thin, and you can hear other people (we heard other people coughing and phones ringing from the next room). Food options are cafeteria style and quality; eat at the theme park or off-resort if you want a restaurant experience. But, overall, I would highly recommend this resort.
Ótimo apart. Tudo muito limpo, várias opções para refeições. Amei.
Upon arriving, I had an unfortunate experience with an employee. With that said, the staff took care of the issue swiftly and appropriately. I commend the general manager, Leonard, for his quick follow-up with a personal call to rectify the situation. Unfortunately, as there are undoubtedly hundreds or thousands of employees working at Orlando Universal Resorts, there is destined to be a bad apple from time to time. I was thoroughly impressed with the management team from the top down. The hotel is a beautiful hotel with spacious rooms, a Starbucks, a bar, and a cafeteria. We rarely left the hotel to eat as the food was delicious. The pool is huge, and the poolside bar is top-notch. We will definitely be back!
I booked an 8 day stay for myself and my 3 children and honestly don't have a single complaint. Check in was very easy and after traveling all day it's what was needed. I upgraded my room to a suite with no issues. The food was decent and I love that they offered refillable cups for our entire stay. The pool area was clean, and very good size for the amount of guests on the property, never crowded. I was absolutely impressed that in 8 days I saw the lifeguards do 2 drills, The staff was always happy to help in any way they could, and I never felt I was bothering them like I've had at other resorts. The only small issue I had was the key card in some of the exterior doors wasn't working properly (but maintenance was right on it) Thank you all for the relaxing enjoyable Vacation!! I will be booking again mainly because of the wonderful staff you employ...
This new hotel was clean and a pleasure to stay at! We had a short stay but a family looking to take a longer vacation would surely enjoy their time. The rooms were clean and new and my only critique is the pillows. just bring your own if you are picky, like me. The shower was great! Clean, HOT water, great water pressure...just nice after a long day at the parks. Heated pool was beautiful! but not much else, other than a really nice bar. Also want to add, that I must have dropped a pouch I had connected to me in the cafeteria right around closing time and didn't realize it until the next day. I had money, gift cards, park tickets and my ID in it and everything was given back to me when I called lost and found the next morning. They were very nice and efficient, couldn't have worked out better. For the price of this new hotel is it totally worth it! Thanks again, I will definitely be staying here in the future!
O check-in e check-out foram rápidos e o estacionamento é cobrado ($15 por noite).
