We stayed at the vistamarina last week and it was excellent! The hotel was clean and well maintained. The staff was amazing. The air conditioning went out one afternoon and within 30 minutes the maintenance man had it fixed. We arrived too early to check in and instead of us having to wait, they upgraded us to an ocean view suite! A big shout out to VivIana at the front desk. She spoke fluent English and helped with check in and out also with our taxi service. I would highly recommend this boutique hotel.

Breakfast is nice but honestly it is way too noisy. We slept next to the bar at the arrival, staff was screaming and singing until late, we demanded to change room, they changed us to a room next to the beach and at 5 am we had the garbage truck waking us up, in addition the planes land and take off above because it is close to the airport, not happy at all. Get another hotel closer to the other side of the city and closer to the historical city center and far from the airport, you deserve to rest...

Staff are very friendly and helpful. Food at the Sara cafe was excellent. Best food we had the whole experience in Cartagena. (Breakfast and dinner). Helpful if you know some Spanish, but can get by without. Place is kept very clean.

Juan checked us in about midnight. He was so patient and sweet. We understood very little spanish, but he took his time and tried to explain everything. Angela, was so helpful, very good English, and made many phone calls for me...since my luggage did not arrive with me.😔 anytime we needed fresh beach towels the were there. Janie, the manager of the restraunt Sara's, makes the most perfect gin and tonic i have ever had. Breakfasts were wonderful. The staff is so attentive.

Cozy small hotel. Breakfast included. Beach is right at the hotel. Sometimes the beach chairs aren't available. Helpful stuff, possible to leave your luggage before check-in/after check-out. Nice clean rooms, spacious bathrooms with closet
