Fort Myers Beach

If I could give it a “0” I would. Let me start that back in 2019 we stayed here and it was wonderful! So 2020 we decided we wanted to go back. We book a reservation over one month ago for July 6 to 11. We decided that we would leave a couple days before so to explore the area and stay inland. On Saturday July 4 we get a phone 12:10 pm and was told on voicemail that we had to cancel our reservation because the renovations were not done. Keep in mind we are due to check in Monday! So earlier this week I spoke with the people at the hotel because I had a couple of questions. The lady told me that they had renovated the cottage and that we would love what they did. We were so excited! We absolutely loved this place back in 2019. The view was phenomenal! Okay fast forward to Thursday, we thought hey let’s call them and see if possibly they have the cottage for July 4. They told us they were sold out. Again I asked the lady if everything was still good with the cottage and she said everything was perfect! So after they called on Saturday July 4, I called them back. The manager on duty was completely rude and started yelling at me on the phone when I asked how was this possible? Why was I told it was ready to go if it wasn’t? They told me 2 times the room was ready to go! They did finally offer us another room but I asked how is this possible when you said everything was booked! So finally we found another place after a long search! It’s a holiday week and everything is booked! The General Manager never called! The manager on duty called back and said not to call back and that we need to talk to Expedia (who we booked through). This was all uncalled for! So unprofessional! Later today July 4 we drove by the Beacon! No surprise the room was preoccupied! It was a family! Yes you read that correctly! It was a lie! Nothing was wrong with the room! I could not believe my eyes! Why would someone call and tell us we had to cancel because renovations were not done?! If they were renovating why was it being rented out? Why would they allow kids in a construction area? I contacted Expedia and told them! So if your the owner of this establishment, I hope you read this and contact me! I don’t believe you as a owner would allow this! And as for the manager on duty, you may need to re-evaluate her! This is so very sad and disheartening especially since we have told several people about this establishment! Please contact me!

Great location, heated pool and right on the beach. Housekeeping was great by Alicia. She worked very hard cleaning and keeping everyone happy. Bathrooms could use updating, but everything functioned good.

Great location. ..... needs updating but when you're on the beach you really don't spend that much time in the room anyway. If you're high maintenance... move along.

Close to all the fun but older rooms. If you you want is so sleep and shower this is your place. Loud late at night from the music at the bars. Loud in the morning with delivery/ garbage trucks.
