Used as a base for rail tour. Room large and had view of old railway bridge and monroes from across car park. Bathroom modern with good walk in shower..wooden floor..and nice toiletries. Had sitting area and hospitality tray had popcorn and quality chocolate biscuits which were replaced daily. Room clean and bed comfortable with furnishings of Scottish theme. Dining room felt Scottish with pictures and antlers on wall and dark wood paneling. Nice snug for reading and good sitting area..bar small but functional. Staff trying hard with service but some obviously new and language skills not always up to whisky selection which was entertaining . Food fresh and ok...breakfast OK and fruit and cereals toast and lovely selection of jams and marmalade on tables in breakfast room that had piped Scottish music. All staff friendly. Felt comfortable during 3 night stay. Very close to railway station so could walk to hotel and railway did not disturb sleep.

Absolutely fabulous. We stayed there for three nights and also tried the restaurant and the wee pub/bar.Spacy rooms, had a great view, localition is excellent if you are a hiker. Food is likewise really good and staff is lovely. Also we noticed a lot of attention to details.Can highly recommend this hotel.

Fantastic - we stayed at the annex across the road. Rooms good, breakfast and evening meal were superb. Staff very friendly and helpful. We will visit again. EV charger across the road also very handy!

Excelente estadia e fim de uma road trip escocesa, graças a uma equipa de frente de casa muito simpática, capaz e eficiente! Excelente jantar servido prontamente, apesar de uma carga de ônibus de turistas chegando logo depois de nós! Os quartos eram limpos, confortáveis e modernos. Café-da-manhã foi saudável, saboroso, amigável e eficiente e nos teve de volta na estrada em tempo útil. Muito obrigado à equipe ontem à noite e esta manhã por uma recepção calorosa, tornando esta a melhor estadia da viagem!

É um hotel de 3 estrelas provavelmente porque não tem piscina ou ginásio, mas os quartos são confortáveis e o nosso era bastante grande. Estávamos na frente do prédio e não ouvimos nenhum ruído do tráfego. Fizemos parte de uma viagem de ônibus, mas entendo muito de seus negócios são caminhantes / caminhantes e eles têm uma sala de secagem. Os funcionários foram muito simpáticos e a comida era boa. Os moradores utilizaram o bar e foi uma excelente atmosfera.

Muito bem posicionado hotel fácil de encontrar ... Bom estacionamento .... quartos muito limpos e tinha tudo o que era necessário. Banheiro um dos mais limpos que já fiquei. Comida no restaurante bom excelente serviço de todos os funcionários. Lindamente decorado. A única coisa que decepcionou o café da manhã poderia ter sido melhor. ... pena como tudo o resto foi excelente.

Very well positioned hotel easy to find ...Good parking....rooms very clean and had everything needed. Bathroom one of the cleanest I have stayed in . Food in restaurant good excellent service from all staff. Beautifully decorated. Only thing let it down the breakfast could have been better ...I understand covid rules apply but could help yourself to cereal and juice but not fruit etc...boiled eggs were rock hard and cooked breakfast very dry ....cold toast...shame as everything else was excellent.

It's a 3 star hotel probably because it hasn't a pool or gym but the rooms are comfortable and ours was quite large. We were on the front of the building and heard no traffic noise. We were part of a coach trip but I understand a lot of their business is walkers/hikers and they do have a drying room.
The staff were very friendly and the food was good. Locals used the bar and it was a great atmosphere.

Excellent stay and end to a Scottish road trip, thanks to a very friendly, capable and efficient front of house team! Superb evening meal served promptly, despite a coach load of tourists arriving just after us! Rooms were clean, comfortable, and modern. Breakfast was wholesome, tasty, friendly and efficient and had us back on the road in good time. Big thanks to the team last night and this morning for a warm welcome, making this the best stay of the trip!
