A localização é excelente.
Make sure to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a room. They compare hundreds of booking websites and normally will have rates a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This hotel is one of the most well known in this area. I've been coming here for years. If you decide to stay here you will love it I'm sure! Great location, comfortable bed, and kitchenette with perfect size fridge. Excellent hot breakfast. Walking distance to Javits and theater district. Amazing view from the South side on higher floors!! Only negative comment is the wait for the elevator during peak times. Definitely will stay here again.
The 15 min wait to check in every time I have stayed here is always disappointing, then to get to the desk and be greeted with an attitude definitely leaves a bad taste. No recognition for my Titanium status and put in a dirty room on the third floor. Had to change rooms and after running errands come back to the new room and notice the AC is broken, my shower didn’t work at all and the phone didn’t work to call and let them know. The third elevator is also locked off after a certain hour so there are two elevators serving 35+ floors, so expect a wait to get to and from your room. I overheard many other guests asking for maintenance to come to their room for one reason or another. I would highly recommend spending the extra few dollars and staying anywhere else as this is a 2 star hotel at best.
A renovation or modernization, would be appropriate. The choice at breakfast is not really big. The variety is very small. Upon arrival, there was no information about the hotel, such as breakfast times, where breakfast is served, etc. A little more motivation of the person at the reception, would do the hotel good. The location of the hotel is optimal. Even though it has many homeless people in the area. The hotel is not more than a 3 star hotel. Although on the one platforms it says it is a 4 star hotel.
Amazing location. Pizza and convenience store across the street! The refrigerator, stove, microwave, and DISHWASHER allowed us to save some money on food as well. The free breakfast is great as well! I have zero complaints about this hotel. Our stay was just great.Good sound insulation on windows (that open). Black out curtains. Friendly staff. Free baggage checking before and after stay. You name it!Good job element
I am reaching out after several failed attempts at reaching someone at this hotel who could help me. I originally booked my stay with this hotel, specifically because of the pet policy as I intended to travel with 2 dogs. The booking website specifies "Pets allowed. Non-refundable fee of $50 for each pet per stay." On Monday 05/09/2022, more than 72 hours before my stay, I called to confirm this pet policy. At this time only, I became aware that the policy documented on the booking website was misleading and incorrect. Although the statements “Pets allowed” and “each pet” imply otherwise, I was informed that in fact a maximum of 1 pet is allowed. I first asked if there were any alternative options, such as transferring my reservation to another Marriott property that could accommodate me, but was told by the Marriott representative that my only option was to cancel my reservation. Given no other choice, I accepted this circumstance and agreed to cancel (cancellation #53678224) upon learning this new information. Given the circumstances, I did not expect to be charged for the full amount of this stay which never occurred. And despite being a long-time Marriott customer for both personal and business travel, I have been unable to even speak to anyone to discuss flexibility regarding the refund policy, which is a reasonable request considering the timing and the error on the website. I am hopeful that someone at Marriott can quickly correct the poor experience I have received so far.
Very clean room. Very nice staff. Love the breakfast buffet! Love the kitchenette. Zero complaints. I would stay there again. Close to Time Square and subway. 4/29/22-5/4/22
I was pleasantly pleased with my stay at Element. The staff were a little distracted but exceedingly pleasant. The efficient room was updated though there were parts where the age of the building showed through. Still, my room was comfortable and spacious and it included again a surprisingly tasty breakfast (the spinach and Swiss quiche was amazing). The area used to be sketchy but it has been improved from just a few years ago. For business or pleasure, I’ll be back!
I used to stay at this hotel every time I went to NYC before the pandemic, and I loved it. But unfortunately it went down the hill pretty quick, it’s a crazy how bad it is now. First I checked in, got to the room they gave me, and the door was broken (as if someone broke in) and the door would shut / lock. So I went down to the front desk and got another room, this time, as you shut the door it would automatically lock. But you couldn’t lock the door from the inside , the security lock from inside was broken. The room looked pretty run down like the first one, old paint peeling, cables showing , run down floors, minimalistic old furniture and the telephone didn’t work. So when I realized my toilet was broken, I couldn’t just call the front desk , I had to take the elevator down and wait in a long line to let them know my toilet was broken… so I had to use the toilet in the hotel basement (it was pretty dirty), then finally hours later someone came up to fix my toilet. The only good thing is that they offer a nice free breakfast. But overall it’s not worth the price, you can find much better hotels for the same price or even cheaper.
While this hotel is close to a lot, the area is somewhat sketchy. From the snappy front desk staff to the extremely worn out room, there is definitely better hotels to choose from in the area. The photos online give this hotel a more upscale appearance, but it is very different in person. They have three elevators for a LOT of rooms, be prepared to wait. They have a small free reception at night with super cheap barefoot branded wine and a small cheese plate, I passed. Left too early for breakfast so I can’t tell you how it was. The efficiency rating on the outside of the building placard by the city was even rated a D and this brand is suppose to be all about being green. The Element brand is a great chain in the Marriott collection of hotels, this specific location does not match that. Definitely wouldn’t return.
The location is pretty good. There is entertainment and food just outside the hotel, and Times Square is 5 blocks away. A big bus station is also very close. Regarding the hotel, the staff is very nice and they offer free beverages at the lounge at any times, which is really appreciated. There are also 3 computers available and free wifi all over the hotel, though the signal could be better. The rooms are pretty nice, they even have a full-serviced kitchen and a really big shower. The shower could use some more pressure though, I could barely wash off my shampoo. The main downside are the elevators. There are 3 elevators for the 40 floor building, which are busy all the time. It's not just the wait that is frustrating, but also the fact that sometimes the elevator will just skip your floor for unknown reasons. The wait can easily take over 5-15 minutes, so it's not rare to see people going down the stairs from the 30rd floor because they're in a hurry. Also, the breakfast buffet is really limited in its offer (no meat, no eggs), and the restaurant area is very small. Every morning you could see people eating breakfast at the lobby sofas or even standing because there is simply no more tables.
