We stayed at one of the apartments across the road from the hotel. The location, close to the beach and world-class boardwalk was second to none! Many, many, many things to do on the boardwalk and places to eat/enjoy a beverage.
The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful when ever we needed anything.
The rooms were relatively clean. The ductless splits (AC units) and fan blades hadn't been cleaned in a while. The bathroom had no exhaust fan and likely was the cause of the musty-ness in the unit.
The unit is across the lane way from the hotel. The AC units are close to your door and loud. The laneway doesn't smell very nice likely a result of the restaurants close by and their exhaust fans. The kitchen did lack some basics like drying clothes, large bowels, only 3 large plates or a dish drying rack. The rooms did come with beach chairs and an umbrella which were a pleasant surprise.
This is a part of the Hotel Sheldon, not the Hotel Ritz as another review put it. 3 stars for me..

Loved the location!! Beachfront on the boardwalk with so much to see and do. The hotel has kept its 1950' and '60's charm and modernized it. It feels like old Hollywood. Grace at the front desk was wonderful! So helpful and friendly, suggested amazing places for dinner. Absolutely loved it here.

The location was absolutely wonderful 10' and you're at the beach.The room was good size there was a king sized bed in it. The bathroom was very small and only had a shower. The beach chairs and umbrella were in the room and you carried them down each time you went to the beach.

Location is wonderful! Right next to Margaritaville. The room was clean and compact. The bed was super-comfortable!
The staff was helpful and attentive. Each room has beach chairs and an umbrella in the closet; beach towels downstairs for the guests. Restaurants are really close by, although we used the compact fridge and microwave to have our meals. There is no stove or sink in any of the rooms. Overall, we would stay there again.

We are from Florida and living in Vegas now and stayed there last month and simply loved the hotel. Great location on the board walk . It's an older hotel but recently upgraded the room was clean and a huge plus they give you an umbrella & two chairs to use for free normally would cost you to rent. Location is everything. It's all there right on the board walk. Pleasantly surprised how nice our trip was especially for the price you can't beat it . Looking forward to next year .
