I am a little bit curious if all the good reviews are by staff... I mean staff is nice but the place is def. not!

I should warn you that if you are not going to rent a studio flat, for the en-suite rooms, the communal spaces in the flats are not getting cleaned at all. All they do is mopping the floors of the kitchen and even that is hardly perfectly done. Nothing else is being cleaned. Oh they also do a favor and remove only ONE rubbish bag a week in a flat of 8-10 people. If you had 2 or 3 of them, they just leave it. Also none of the communal spaces are being cleaned during holidays (christmas/spring) although you keep paying the full rent and after the Christmas holiday there was a point, hallways were literally stinking. Not cleaning a building for weeks where 800 people live is beyond any logic... The printer is not working for most of the times and they blame the company which owns the printers and during exam weeks for example, they would expect you to go out find a printer yourself because they can not do anything about the printer company and they do not own a printer themselves where 800 university students are living. They lack communication with residents that they do stuff without even informing you. Also, some people sublet their flats to other people and they have no idea who is entering the building. If you are gonna pay this much money, better go rent a flat yourself, cause this is definetly not worth for en-suite flats. There are some really nice staff but they can not help about most of the things because they have no idea what is going on or they are basicly not allowed to take any initiative.

Very dirty and cleaning staff did not clean any of our common spaces(corridor and kitchen). If we (a flat of 5) are terribly dirty and trashed the place, I would understand if the cleaners refused to clean. Attached is picture of our “messy” kitchen which has never ever been cleaned. We left the floor on purpose to assess if the cleaners do come in and clean. Clearly, from the picture you can tell they don’t. I would recommend any students to rent accommodation with UCL managed building instead because the cleaning staffs were superb (they cleaned 2-3 times a week). The service here does not justify the costs at all.
The rooms are terribly small and poorly ventilated. Walls are thin and poor noise cancellation. The 2 saving grace of this accommodation is the friendly, and always present staffs as well as the location. But hey, I would rather have a good quality accommodation with consistent cleaners for this price I’m paying and good staffs just doesn’t cut it.
Also for future students. Pls note that the same laundry service(circuit laundry) costs 50-60p more per wash and 30p more per dryer as compared to any UCL managed properties. thought that this is a very important information given you will be paying exorbitant amount of rental.

None of the bad reviews about this place are true. The building is very clean and you get your moneys worth for sure. Rooms are very nice and the staff are friendly and very helpful. There is a massive courtyard for smoking and hanging out on sunny days which is great. The studios are much bigger than what you get in the other accommodations nearby. We have 24 hour security which many places do not have. I am definitely staying here next year as well.
