star star 11 Tahrir Square, Second Floor, Next To KFC, Downtown, Cairo, Cairo, Egypt
Pousada muito agradável. Aconchegante e ao vivo. Proprietários super legais. Ótima localização. Super. WiFi decente e café da manhã grátis. Ficaria novamente. Eu amei ao máximo a satisfação do cliente.
Very nice hostel. Cozy and live. Owners super nice. Great location. Super. Decent WiFi and free breakfast. Would stay again. I loved the most of customer satisfaction.
The owner, Mido, was amazinggg. We kept in touch after our stay and he continued to help us book tickets and provide advice on everything throughout the rest of our Egypt trip - I’d just chuck him a message on Facebook and he’d reply straight away. All of his staff also love what they do, Mido likes to teach and develop young talent who are keen to learn/grow in his passion - the cleaners and the receptionists - you can feel that his staff are genuinely happy to be there. I remember Mido would keep asking us our opinions of his hostel so he could look for ways to improve, he’d be interested in hearing our experiences at other hostels down to what we were given for breakfasts etc because he truly had a passion for the industry and strives to remain exceptional. :):)
Wonderful place where service goes beyond excellent. The rooms are comfy and with cool design, the guys are very friendly and helpful, not just towards your stay, but also will advice you for best places to visit and will go extra mile to make your vacation great. It’s a place which will make you want to return and give you the best hospitality in Egypt.
O maior ponto positivo do Tahrir Square Hostel é a equipe.
The biggest plus point about Tahrir Square Hostel is the staff. They were so helpful throughout the duration of my trip. They assisted me in figuring out all my travel plans for my visit to Egypt. They were, at all occasions, ready to go the extra mile for the comfort and convenience of the guests. I'd give more than 5 stars to this property if I could! Location - 5 stars. Metro station is less than a minute walk away. Cleanliness - 5 stars. :) Breakfast - They serve amazing breakfast (included in tariff). Mango juice is to die for! There's nothing not to like in this hostel. It's a steal deal at throwaway prices. :D TL;DR: Couldn't find a better hostel in Cairo for my solo trip; you would rather not need to find another hostel here once you've been to Tahrir Square Hostel.
Excelente. Lugar muy limpio. Personal amable precio barato y ubicación céntrica.
Stayed here twice in October. 4 nights first time round visiting Cairo. 1 night as an overnight stay for flight out.The hotel is right in the heart of Tahrir Square, next to a KFC of all places. Looking for the KFC is easier than trying to find the entrance as there's no sign outside and the number of the building was hard to spot at night. The entrance to the building looks ominous, but it's perfectly safe. The hostel is one floor up, not a hard climb up, but there's a lift if need be. The entrance to the hostel is on the left and takes you straight into the reception area. I'd already booked online, so checking in was pretty straightforward. One useful thing to know is that there’s a charge if paying by credit card, but the staff are really good about waiting for payment should you want to change enough Egyptian money to pay by cash. After checking in, the staff showed me the showers, toilets and explained the usual everything I needed to know about breakfast, tours etc.I stayed in 6 bed dorm 103 with 3 bunk beds. The bunks were incredibly sturdy and the mattress was quite soft, much softer than I'm used to, but I managed to sleep brilliantly each night. Each bunk comes with a personal light, an electrical socket and privacy curtains. With the curtains drawn, it's quite quiet and dark, and perfect for sleeping. Each bed also comes with a locker underneath the bottom bunk. If I had any criticism, is that pulling the locker out causes a horrible screeching sound. To be honest, I was never actually woken by the sound, so it's a minor point. The room also had a balcony looking out onto Tahrir Square. It's a fantastic view early in the morning and at night. You can even see the illustrious Museum of Egyptian Antiquities from the balcony. The breakfast is fine. A tea or coffee, mango juice, boiled egg, rolls with jam and dairy lea. Decent breakfast and a bit more than what I expected from a hostel. No complaints and above average by hostel standards. The staff are incredibly friendly, helpful and generous. Honestly, in all my travels, I've never come across a group who have gone so out of the way to help guests. When booking Uber, they'll make the call for you and even go downstairs to make sure the driver picked up the guests (Thanks Iman!!). Actually all the staff members deserve an honourable mention for making the stay so fantastic. Roshki knows so much about traveling in Egypt and Iman is so incredibly helpful as are Mustafa and Ahmed. All the reception staff speak excellent English, so good that they and the guests (including me) have regular conversations together. I've also seen them being incredibly patient with non Arabic speaking guests whose first language was not English. The staff keep the hostel spotlessly clean. I've seen them clean the place, floors, bathrooms and toilets several times a day. That's just incredible, like they're trying hard to match the relentless cleanliness of the Japanese and Thai. The Egyptians have a tourism phase "Come as a guest and leave as a friend". I think this phrase was invented to describe the staff at Tahrir Square Hostel! I have no superlatives adequate to my stay. Exceptional is all I can manage. I would give this hostel 10 stars if I could.
