Ok hotel is great, rooftop bar very popular and good cocktail selection, rooms are very quirky (they look really good). With curtains shut and the lights out the room is black, so had a great sleep. Amazing wine selection in the lobby bar. The cleaning staff is very friendly and personable. BUT 1. Had to ask for the room to be serviced 2. No water in the room for 3 days, apparently they don't restock the mini bar fridge, instead they expect you to request refill each time, pity it has taken 3 requests so far to actually get the water 3. No aircon control so it's on 24/7 with no way to adjust for personal preferences
I stayed back in July 2022, but forgot to review. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I was upgraded to a bigger room higher up and it was wonderful. Interior design of room is next to none, stunning decor. Bed was very comfortable also. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Location was also great to access restaurants on harbour and felt like a safer part of the city for lone travellers. I really enjoyed my stay and will definately return when next in Auckland 😊
We stayed on Christmas night.. had 3 different rooms for our family. Only negative was we couldn’t move between floors with our room keys. Room on 5 floor had amazing views, bed was very comfy and shower amazing (didn’t want to get out).. Room on 3rd floor very spacious and also very good beds. Room on 2nd floor with balcony was a little noisy. Bed amazing though. Christmas dinner was 5 stars, delicious, flavoursome and good amount. Waiting staff were attentive, professional and very friendly. Highly recommend for a good value for money hotel.
My partner and I stayed at the QT in Auckland for 3 nights. Facilities: Upon arrival, they informed us that the rooftop bar (one of the hotel’s selling points) was unavailable that evening due to a private event. The same thing happened on both days thereafter, leaving us no possibility to use the rooftop bar at any point during our stay, which is incredibly disappointing given we are paying guests at the Hotel and couldn’t use the bar ourselves. Food: we ordered room service and the vegetarian options were incredibly limited so I asked for a mixed salad (main course size) which the staff member said they could accommodate and that they would mix vegetarian friendly ingredients together. The salad they brought up was a plate with 7 lettuce leaves covered in vinaigrette, nothing else. I’m pretty sure that is not considered a mixed salad meal by anyone’s standards… Room Service: this was probably the most disappointing of all. The room service was appalling. The rubbish had not been removed, the toiletries not replenished, no new toilet roll added and the room hadn’t actually been cleaned. The only thing they did is make up the bed and that’s it. We even complained with reception about the state of the room and the receptionist didn’t seem to care and immediately changed the subject - conveniently changed the subject to sending us the invoice for our stay via email. Overall a very disappointing stay and not a 4 star hotel or service at all. Would not recommend at all and we will not stay there again! Highly recommend to stay at a different hotel, stay away from the QT in Auckland!!!
Lovely stay! We stayed not too long ago (Labour Weekend) and had a bit of a shocker as they really seemed run off their feet, however, we thought we'd give it another go and are so happy we did! This time it was service with a smile, from our smooth check-in to our quiet room, excellent room service, topped off with a wonderful meal at Esther and a seamless check-out. they didn't put a foot wrong! See you again soon!
