My wife and I spent our Honeymoon at this Hotel in 1992. We have very fond memories of spending a lot of time together in the swimming pool, alone and very memorable in those days. We have visited on numerous anniversaries and have always been happy. We visited recently, now our son is at University, but our little dog Arnold is both totally blind and diabetic. The staff were wonderful. What more can you say but you come down to breakfast and you are presented to Arnold's insulin injection (needs storage in the fridge)because they saw you approaching. A wonderful team who try. I left a cash tip which I hope goes to all the team ! Thank you all. We shall be back. Very disappointing.Certainly nothing like 4 star.Our room was cold, grubby and a number of items were broken.I find it hard to believe that the room had been checked by housekeeping as there was so much wrong with it. The service was good, we were offered a different room which was much better.Sadly there are very few staff, so whilst individually they did their best to offer great customer service, at times there were considerable delays.This place has enormous potential, a beautiful building in a lovely setting, just looking verytired and in need of some TLC.The food is fabulous.Not keen on open plan reception area where we overhead conversations, not sure this is really appropriate.I hope this place gets the TLC it deserves. Muito decepcionante. Certamente nada como 4 estrelas. Nosso quarto estava frio, sujo e vários itens estavam quebrados. Acho difícil acreditar que o quarto tinha sido verificado pelo serviço de arrumação, pois havia muita coisa errada com isso. O serviço foi bom, nos ofereceram um quarto diferente que era muito melhor. Infelizmente, há muito poucos funcionários, então, embora individualmente eles tenham feito o possível para oferecer um ótimo atendimento ao cliente, às vezes houve atrasos consideráveis. Este lugar tem um enorme potencial, um belo edifício em um cenário encantador, parecendo muito cansado e precisando de algum TLC. A comida é fabulosa. Não gosta de área de recepção em plano aberto, onde conversamos por cima, não tenho certeza de que isso seja realmente apropriado. Espero que este lugar receba o TLC que merece.

Me resulta difícil creer que el servicio de limpieza haya revisado la habitación, ya que había muchos problemas. El servicio fue bueno, nos ofrecieron una habitación diferente que era mucho mejor. Lamentablemente, hay muy poco personal, por lo que, aunque individualmente hicieron todo lo posible para ofrecer un excelente servicio al cliente, a veces hubo retrasos considerables. Went for afternoon tea,nice building helpful staff.The teaand cake were very nice. Would recommend this place any time. Don't know what the restaurant or the hotel but give them a try. Only draw back is access if you are disabled Fui para o chá da tarde, funcionários prestativos do edifício agradável. O chá e o bolo estavam muito bons. Recomendaria este lugar a qualquer momento. Não sei qual é o restaurante ou o hotel, mas experimente. O único inconveniente é o acesso se você estiver desabilitado

My parents used to stay here 40 years ago and and had to wear a tie/suit jacket and ladies a dress!Still a lovely old building with quaint rooms and period decor set in beautiful grounds.Lovely breakfast, in the period dining room.When we booked they neglected to tell us the swimming pool was closed (it has been for months) due to cracking. Also, had a real problem finding staff to open the bar on, Saturday night!!!It’s a best western now so don’t expect a personal approach, it’s well worth a stay to experience the building and grounds. A short drive to Woodbridge and the beach. (Shingle street pictured) Belo edifício antigo. Meus pais costumavam ficar aqui há 40 anos e tinham que usar uma gravata / paletó e um vestido para as senhoras!Ainda um encantador edifício antigo com quartos pitorescos e decoração de época situado em belos jardins.Adorável pequeno-almoço, na sala de jantar de época.Quando reservamos, eles se esqueceram de nos dizer que a piscina estava fechada (há meses) devido a rachaduras. Além disso, teve um problema real para encontrar funcionários para abrir o bar, sábado à noite! ! !É um best western agora, então não espere uma abordagem pessoal, vale a pena uma estadia para experimentar o edifício e os jardins. The hotel is an amazing period building with lovely grounds. We eat at the restaurant for lunch, dinner and breakfast which was very good although service at lunchtime was very slow. The Spa treatments were excellent, just a shame the pool and jacuzzi were unavailable due to a structural issue which we did know about beforehand. Our room was a disappointment, not very clean cobwebs on the ceiling everywhere, and the shower was very poor just a trickle and the shower head dirty. Just a little more attention to detail and I would of given a better rating. Some investment in the Hotel is needed to make it what you would expect. The staff were pleasant. O hotel é um edifício de época incrível com jardins encantadores. Nós comemos no restaurante para almoço, jantar e café da manhã que era muito bom, embora o serviço na hora do almoço fosse muito lento. Os tratamentos do Spa foram excelentes, uma pena que a piscina e o jacuzzi não estivessem disponíveis devido a um questão estrutural que sabíamos de antemão. O nosso quarto era uma decepção, não muito limpo teias de aranha no teto em todos os lugares, e o chuveiro era muito ruim apenas um gotejamento e o chuveiro sujo. Apenas um pouco mais de atenção aos detalhes e eu daria uma classificação melhor. Algum investimento no Hotel é necessário para torná-lo o que você esperaria. A equipe foi agradável.

Ambiente muito agradável e fiquei impressionado com a limpeza da pequena sala onde é realizado o chá da tarde. ... Muito para comer e beber a minha única crítica foi a equipe em espera não nos deu qualquer informação sobre o que fomos servidos. Quando perguntei quais eram os bolos, a resposta foi que não faço a menor ideia! Dito isto, a equipe foi muito agradável, talvez precise de uma lista que eles possam consultar quando solicitados.

Entorno muy agradable y quedé impresionado por la limpieza de la pequeña habitación donde se lleva a cabo el té de la tarde. ... mucho para comer y beber mi única crítica fue que los camareros no nos dieron ninguna información sobre lo que nos sirvieron. Cuando pregunté cuáles eran los pasteles, la respuesta fue que no tengo ni idea. Habiendo dicho eso, el personal fue muy amable, tal vez solo necesite una lista a la que puedan referirse cuando se les solicite.

Comimos en el restaurante para el almuerzo, la cena y el desayuno, que era muy bueno, aunque el servicio a la hora del almuerzo era muy lento. Los tratamientos de spa fueron excelentes, una pena que la piscina y el jacuzzi no estuvieran disponibles debido a un cuestión estructural que conocíamos de antemano. Nuestra habitación fue una decepción, telarañas no muy limpias en el techo por todas partes, y la ducha era muy pobre, solo un goteo y la alcachofa de la ducha estaba sucia. Solo un poco más de atención a los detalles y le hubiera dado una mejor calificación. Se necesita algo de inversión en el hotel para que sea lo que espera. El personal fue agradable.

(Shingle street pictured) Hermoso edificio antiguo. ¡Mis padres solían quedarse aquí hace 40 años y tenían que usar una corbata / chaqueta de traje y las damas un vestido!Sigue siendo un hermoso edificio antiguo con habitaciones pintorescas y decoración de época en hermosos jardines.Desayuno encantador, en el comedor de época.Cuando reservamos, se olvidaron de decirnos que la piscina estaba cerrada (ha estado meses) debido a grietas. Además, ¡tuve un verdadero problema para encontrar personal para abrir el bar el sábado por la noche!Es un Best Western ahora, así que no espere un enfoque personal, vale la pena quedarse para experimentar el edificio y los terrenos. Delicious! Maybe just invest a little in some areas. Service friendly. Small attention to details like garnishing a g&t would be appreciated. An enjoyable evening overall. Belo edifício de época. Um pouco cansado em alguns lugares. Restaurante um pouco calmo em uma sexta-feira, mas isso não é culpa deles, faltava atmosfera. Met here with friends to celebrate the 80th birthday of one of them. Beautiful unspoilt setting which, thankfully, has not given way to modernization. Beautiful oak panelling etc and even a suit of armour to greet you at the door. We sat in the courtyard to consume a cream tea with tea, coffee, and a glass of bubbly. The waiter who served us was very polite and attentive. We had a lovely time in a lovely setting. Would thoroughly recommend. Encontrei aqui com amigos para comemorar o aniversário de 80 anos de um deles. Belo cenário intocado que, felizmente, não deu lugar à modernização. Belos painéis de carvalho etc e até mesmo uma armadura para recebê-lo na porta. Sentamos no pátio para tomar um chá cremoso com chá, café e um copo de espumante. O garçom que nos atendeu foi muito educado e atencioso. Tivemos um tempo maravilhoso em um cenário encantador. Recomendaria completamente.

Hermoso entorno virgen que, afortunadamente, no ha dado paso a la modernización. Hermosos paneles de roble, etc. e incluso una armadura para recibirlo en la puerta. Nos sentamos en el patio para tomar un té helado con té, café y una copa de champán. El camarero que nos atendió fue muy educado y atento. Nos lo pasamos de maravilla en un entorno encantador. Lo recomendaría completamente.
