Id like to give 4 stars as location is excellent, bed was amazing, bathroom amenities great, what let it down was a little bit of the cleanliness and my special request to have a cot in the room unfulfilled

Rooms clean and generous. Kitchen is cook for yourself, but so many places almost next door to eat and drink u won't need it. Staff v friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

When we arrived at APX Darling Harbour, our room had a foul odor coming from the bathroom and there were no towels provided, so we were given a different room which was satisfactory. When we checked out early the next morning I returned the key to the reception desk. A few days later I was charged $553 for a lost key. I was horrified not only at the cost but the fact that it would have been recorded on hotel video footage, me returning the key, and still they refuse to refund my $553.
Disgusting.

Very comfortable. Furnishings are good enough. The lamps on the bedsides were the only letdowns. The shades were not in the best condition. Watch your step as you go out to the balcony. The bottom sill, for want of a better term,v is about 20cm above floor level- my partner tripped over as he went out.

Awful customer service and dilapidated rooms made this an incredibly disappointing stay. The listing made on booking.com was misleading and falsely advertised in many ways. Firstly, upon arrival to our booking we found that the Darling Harbour location was in fact closed due to COVID, forcing us to trek to the World Square location. As it is neither difficult nor time consuming to update such critical information, or to deactivate a listing, this neglectfulness speaks volumes on the lack of attentiveness of the staff.
Furthermore, it was falsely advertised that guests may check out freely at all hours (12am-12am), with nothing in the terms and conditions/additional information (which we scoured) alluding to the $30p/h fee we were informed of at the desk, upon asking. We were advised that we would be able to discuss a 12pm checkout by phoning the manager the following morning. Our room stunk of stale cigarette smoke so it was necessary to relocate to another. The couch was stained and the bar lock was broken in the second room.
When the false advertisement was brought to light, the manager insisted that she was not liable for what is stated on their listing, but then later stated that she was in fact responsible for writing and posting the listing. This dishonesty was unfortunately followed by a stunning lack of professionalism when I was brusquely told to "stop manipulating the situation", in regards to my explanation of the disappointing experience. Condescending customer service, falsely advertised check out times, neglectful staff, and dirty rooms. I wish I had spent my money worthily elsewhere.
