Excellent outdoor facilities. Venue as a whole is good although they had no bins in toilets and one of the gents toilets was broken meaning queues forming. Staff were not very helpful but maybe cos they were busy

Booked to have lunch here with 2 friends living locally, and also to check that facilities were suitable for my mobility problems. That part went well with very helpful barman. However, when we arrived
1. No one on hand to show us to table,
2. No hand sanitizers or wipes to clean our hands, fortunately we had our own.
3. No one came to table we sat at so one of us went to bar to order and fetch 2 drinks and menus. I'd ordered pot of tea so that had to be brought.
4. One of us had to go to bar to order and pay for meals. We decided to have same gammon & pineapple and, like another review, we felt they had been reheated.
5. No one acknowledged our leaving.
All in all disappointed visit and we won't be returning. We expected better in current climate.

Good food,quick service. Good outdoor area for the children. Could do with being a bit more enclosed and a bit more to play on.

The hotel had only recently opened due to the Covid lockdown, so only two real ales available. But both were superb (Wainwright and Hobgoblin Ruby) - and cheaper than many other pubs. The staff are great and so friendly. We had a most pleasant evening at this well-managed establishment.
