The area is very quiet and with only 2 supermarket, 3 massage parlours and 2 eateries. But this make the area good for people wanting to get away from crowds and to simply do nothing and unwind. Swimming pool is a bit dirty but the room is very clean and have a spacious toilet. Hotel is generous with the free toiletries provided and the Staffs are friendly. Hotel is also quiet but I made my trip during a Wednesday to Friday so I can't be certain about the weekends. We really enjoyed 2 nights at this hotel- it is modern and clean- exactly as the photos show, with polite and friendly staff. Better for people who love spending time at the pool as opposed to the beach (the coastline has receded and the beach is littered).Walking distance to the beach, and the plaza- it is still closed at the moment but hopefully will reopen with more tourists. Breakfast was great- we had a la carte the first morning and a buffet breakfast the second; I'm not sure if this is based on the day of the week or the number of guests staying. Also enjoyed taking the shuttle bus to their sister hotel for dinner. Es mejor para las personas a las que les encanta pasar tiempo en la piscina que en la playa (la costa ha retrocedido y la playa está llena de basura). A poca distancia de la playa y la plaza, todavía está cerrado en este momento, pero con suerte volverá a abrir con más turistas. Average hotel. Price wise is not that cheap considering nothing much nearby the hotel and its quite ulu. Hotel staffs provides good services and were able to speak proper English. Their wifi speed were extremely slow and they gave u an option upgrade the speed but you will have to pay money. We have all been to so many hotels, wifi is the most basic thing the hotel should provide instead of charging extra right…? After leaving the hotel basically there’s no much places to go other than eating, sat at the hotel lobby yet no air con is on. Very stuffy, went up to their cafe at level 7 also no air con is on. Their gym equipments are not working well too, yet no one is fixing it.

Rooms: the rooms are nice generally, although do check if your balcony sliding door and safe's lock are working. We received a room that has both spoilt and they issued us a new room.
Food: there is a morning buffet at 2nd floor and they will stop breakfast at around 9.45-10am range. Not a wide variety of food but food is decent. More food options are available at Plaza Lagoi at a stone's throw away. Highly recommend to try "Warung Yeah!" by the beach (and has halal food)
Entertainment: there is an entertainment room with foosball, karaoke, wii, etc. Most activities here are free of charge if you are staying at the hotel but activities such as karaoke and movie have to pay separately. Remember to factor in 10% service charge and 11% government tax.
Swimming pool: there is an infinity pool at the top floor of the hotel. Shower rooms are nearby and there's free lockers inside to keep your belongings. Forgot your towel? Fret not, you can get one from the staff at the counter near the lift.
Shuttle: grand lagoi has a shuttle service to Nirwana Hotel, Nirwana Beach Club etc. Do check in at the counter early and also let them know what time shuttle will you be coming back in so they can make sure bus isnt full.
Transport: there's no Grab, Gojek, Uber so chances are you will have to get the hotel to call a cab for you. Alternatively, you can choose to take a flat fee ride from random drivers at your own risk.

Very nice hotel. Big plus for the pool and the above average breakfast and very friendly stuff. The nearby lake is great for runners like me or walkers (one lap 6500 metres). Lagoi still feels a bit unfinished, but as I looked just for a quiet place to relax that didn't matter for me.

Nice hotel in Lagoi Bay. Clean and spacious rooms with friendly staff. Food options were not very wide and a bit pricey in the hotel. There was a nice local eating place near the fishing pond for cheap and decent meal.The hotel is close to the public beach, but there were very few people around that made it nice and quiet place to relax. Beach and water were clean, but need to watch out for the occasionally jelly fish.
