Absolutely fabulous. Great place to while away the hours, loved the historical factor. Food was pretty good. Staff were abrupt and a bit off putting to be honest. I'd certainly return in the hope that staff training had been carried out.

Booked a table at the restaurant for my partners Birthday, was a little worried it was outside, but with the outdoor heaters and the gazebo we were toasty warm. The food was incredible, if you are going to try anything on the menu order the Guy Fawkes pie, perfection in pastry. Service was fantastic, atmosphere was busy but not loud. If you are near York Minster pop in for a pint and something to eat.

Tivemos um quarto 11, na parte de trás da antiga propriedade. Parecia um pouco estranho estar em uma sala diretamente ao lado de uma área de refeições nos fundos, mas não era um problema. Era um grande quarto confortável e espaçoso, com muito caráter. Os funcionários foram todos extremamente simpáticos. Tínhamos remédio para minha namorada que precisa ficar na geladeira, colocam na geladeira da cozinha sem problemas. Fizemos o check-out e voltamos para o almoço para a torta de carne. Reservé una mesa en el restaurante para el cumpleaños de mi pareja, estaba un poco preocupado de que estuviera afuera, pero con los calentadores al aire libre y la glorieta estábamos calentitos. La comida era increíble, si vas a probar algo del menú pide el pastel de Guy Fawkes, la perfección en pastelería. El servicio fue fantástico, el ambiente estaba lleno pero no ruidoso. Teníamos la habitación 11, en la parte trasera de la antigua propiedad. Parecía un poco extraño estar en una habitación directamente al lado de un área para comer en la parte de atrás, pero no fue un problema en absoluto. Era una gran habitación espaciosa y cómoda con mucho carácter. Todo el personal fue increíblemente amable. Teníamos medicación para mi novia que necesita mantenerse refrigerada, la pusieron en la nevera de la cocina sin problema. Nos marchamos y volvimos a almorzar por el pastel de carne. Era tan bueno, lo corté y vi a Dios. Definitivamente valió la pena, y siempre valdrá la pena el tiempo de espera hecho a pedido. Sin duda volvería a la habitación 11 y me alojaría aquí una y otra vez.

We had room 11, in the back part of the old property. It seemed a little strange to be in a room directly next to a back eating area, but it was not a problem at all. It was a great spacious comfortable room with lots of character. The staff were all incredibly friendly. We had medication for my girlfriend that needs to stay refrigerated, they put it in the kitchen fridge no problem. We checked out and returned for lunch for the steak pie. It was so good, I cut in to it and saw god. It was definitely, and always will be worth the made-to-order wait time. I would absolutely come back for room 11, and stay here again and again!

Teve uma boa estadia. A localização é perfeita. Bela história e adoro a cama de dossel e decoração atmosférica. Muito desorientador como o chão se inclina e deixa você desequilibrado ao andar, o que é problemático no chuveiro, onde não há tapete e é escorregadio. Não há café da manhã suficiente para o preço. O vaso sanitário não deu descarga e, por isso, tive que informar a equipe que o consertou durante o dia. Em geral atender às nossas necessidades, mas provavelmente não ficarei novamente.

Tuve una buena estadía. La ubicacion es perfecta. Hermosa historia y me encanta la cama con dosel y la decoración atmosférica. Muy desorientador cómo el piso se inclina y te deja desequilibrado al caminar, lo cual es problemático en la ducha donde no hay tapete y es resbaladizo. No hay suficiente desayuno por el precio. El inodoro no funcionaba, por lo que tuvo que informar al personal que lo arregló durante el día. En general, satisface nuestras necesidades, pero probablemente no me alojaré aquí de nuevo.

Had a good stay. Location is perfect. Beautiful history and love the four poster bed and atmospheric decor. Very disorientating how the floor slants and leaves you unbalanced when walking around which is problematic in the shower where there is no mat and it is slippy. There is not enough breakfast for the price. Toilet did not flush and so had to report to staff who got it fixed during the day. Overall meet our needs but probably will not stay again.

Acabamos aqui para uma refeição de aniversário depois que o restaurante que originalmente reservamos foi temporariamente fechado. A gerente foi super prestativa, encaixando-nos em um prazo muito curto em uma noite movimentada. A comida (lombo de bacalhau) foi excelente. Realmente mudou a noite para nós e muito feliz por termos acabado aqui, obrigado!

We ended up here for an anniversary meal after the restaurant we originally booked was temporarily closed. The manageress was super helpful, fitting us in at very short notice on a busy night. Food (cod loin) was excellent. Really turned around the evening for us and very glad we ended up here, thank you!

It's right next to York Minster and full of character.
We opted for the Conspirator menu which is £15 for two courses or £20 for three courses. There are five choices per course and after taking your seat you order and pay at the bar. We sat at the front inside but there is outside seating and a restaurant area.
The meals came out after 10 minutes and were very tasty with special mention for the pannacotta which was top notch.

Pub acolhedor muito agradável, boa selecção de cervejas e bebidas espirituosas, grande esplanada-cervejaria na parte de trás. Não comer aqui, mas o menu era bom e a comida que estava saindo parecia e cheirava adorável. Certamente experimentarei a comida na próxima vez que estivermos em York.

Very nice welcoming pub, good selection of beers and spirits, large beer garden to the rear. Didn't eat here but the menu was nice and the food that was coming out looked and smelled lovely. Will definitely try the food next time we are in York.

Nos encantó este sitio.El personal super amable. Se esforzaban por chapurrear español. La comida muy rica y abundante. La localización muy buena si vas de visita a York y la decoración muy original, todo ambientado en la figura de Guy Fawkes.
