Wow!! Out of nowhere there is the Ark Unfortunately only managed an afternoon and night but could have stayed longer. Constant flow of animals to the watering hole with excellent viewing points to sit and watch or take numerous photos. Cosy rooms with with a hot water bottle. Dinning and food excellent. Staff exceptional. I will be back. Asante

It is a great Lodge located in the forest next to a place where the animals come to eat salt. So you have no effort to see the animals if not to get on your balcony and observe. You can observe elephants, hyenas, antelopes, buffaloes, rhinos....

I enjoyed my stay at the Ark and plan on returning Sunday. The wildlife you see at the ark is phenomenal it will keep you up all night watching it. You must tour the park itself to see some of the best wildlife.

An amazing experience! After spending most of our trip on game drives, it was a welcome break to have the wildlife come to us. The rooms are small, but cozy. We didn't have a good view of the watering hole from our room, but we didn't spend much time there anyway. Once you do retire to your room, the optional buzzer system will alert you to any excitement happening outside. I probably would not want to stay more than one night since you can't leave the lodge (for obvious safety reasons), but it was a fun, relaxing way to watch wildlife. Also, don't miss the evening bird feeding for a great way to see birds close-up.
