Had evening meal here. Was very nice a labyrinth of a pub. Doors go off all over into other areas easy to get lost as its so big. Food was great staff very helpful an the chef was very kid friendly an adjusted a kids meal to suit our food weird son.. thanks..

A lovely winter break. Staff were very welcoming, and the hotel dinner and breakfast were excellent. The room was good, although not quite as special as the main hotel decor. But definitely a place to relax and enjoy time in a lovely village.

The waiter who attended us was lovely, very attentive. The food was tasty but a bit over priced. £9 for a bowl or soup and £4 for peppercorn sauce was a bit much. One meal was sent back. The belly pork it was two thirds fat and very little pork it wasn't even layers of fat, just one big chunk of fat.. There was no problems the waiter was happy for me to choose another dish but I fail to see how the chef thought it was exceptable to serve in the first place.

The main meal was fabulous and we're very accommodating with my gluten free food chooses. After having the dessert which I had asked more than three times if it was gluten free, the waitress came over to say that there had been a mistake and the dessert was not g/f. I was very unhappy and also spoke to the manager. I was very ill all night and the next day, I will not be revisiting the black Swan in the future.

Stopped for a quick lunch. They were very busy and advised a 20-30min wait, but the food arrived quicker than that. The staff were very nice even though they had a lot to do. The food was nice, chips homemade! Only negative were the prices were a bit high, sandwiches with a salad garnish are £10-12 each. It's a lovely pub, the food was great, as were staff, so paying a few quid more for a good experience is worth it. I recommend the roast baguette, the filling was cooked extremely well, and the gravy was homemade, as good as my nain used to make!
