Que lindo hotel! Os quartos são bem decorados, espaçosos e limpos. O serviço é fantástico, todos os funcionários que encontrei foram muito prestativos e extremamente amigáveis. A comida no restaurante era de primeira qualidade, gostei muito. Eu recomendaria a visita se você estiver na área e precisar de um lugar para ficar. Um pouco de história agradável sobre o hotel, foi aqui que o Sr. Rolls e o Sr. Royce se conheceram!

What a beautiful hotel!
Rooms are well decorated, spacious and clean.
The service is fantastic, all the staff that I came across were very helpful and extremely friendly.
The food at the restaurant was top notch, really enjoyed it.
I would recommend at visit if you are in the area and need a place to stay.
Nice little bit of history about the hotel, this is where Mr Rolls and Mr Royce first met!

Reservamos uma noite no French Room para uma celebração especial. A comida era incrível se talvez alguns cursos demais para nós. Todos os funcionários foram muito atenciosos e agradáveis. A decoração do quarto francês é linda, mas sentimos que faltava qualquer atmosfera. De nossa cabine, só podíamos ver um outro casal. É tudo gosto pessoal, é claro, e alguns gostariam de privacidade, mas para nós havia uma falta definitiva de qualquer ambiente. Davi e Kay

Hotel em sua estrutura é maravilhoso, grande, imponente, quarto grande. Por ser hotel grande já demora no check in (muita). Pedimos toalhas extras demoraram 1 hora para trazê-las. Ótima localização.

We booked an evening at the French Room for a special celebration. The food was amazing if perhaps a few too many courses for us. All the staff were very attentive and pleasant. The decor in the French Room is beautiful but we felt it lacked any atmosphere. From our seating booth we could only see one other couple. It is all personal taste of course and some would enjoy the privacy but for us there was a definite lack of any ambiance.

Wilfred on reception is honestly absolutely outstanding. We met him today and he has changed our lives. He was extremely busy today and was training another female trainee receptionist (who was very lucky to be under his stewardship)…yet he managed to conceal private and confidential materials instantly on not one, but two occasions. He also made the incredible effort to phone us when our room was ready - however somehow he timed this for when I had finished eating, but needed the toilet. Somehow he just knew.
I hope Wilfred one day comes to own the hotel and reaches for the stars. He is the shining light of The Midland and he even asked me if I was going to eat - which prompted me to find sustainable (which is a key component to life).
I have to say any international travellers should come to stay in The Midland just to enjoy Wilfred’s great customer service. If I could give the review an extra star, I would certainly do so for Willy - well done!

Tivemos um dia adorável no salão de chá para o aniversário da minha cunhada. Pedimos dois do padrão e dois do chá da tarde vegano. Ambos foram excelentes. Eu recomendaria obter o vegano para experimentar, pois é igualmente bom. O serviço foi excelente como de costume. Nós definitivamente voltaremos no Natal xx

hospedado aqui há algumas semanas. A decoração do quarto era datada. Ar condicionado do quarto não funcionou. Maioria do Spa foi fechado. Não havia vestiários ou banheiros masculinos no spa. Grandes filas para o café da manhã. Quando finalmente nos sentamos, estávamos sentados em uma mesa que já estava sendo usada por outro casal.Quando fiz o check-out, pedi um endereço de e-mail para reclamar. A recepcionista forneceu. Eu dei a eles a chance de responder e oferecer uma compensação, mas 2 semanas depois não tive resposta, daí a revisão.Muito pobre e não o que eu gastaria de um hotel de 4 estrelas. Eu não voltarei

Stayed here a few weeks ago. Room decor was dated. Air con in the room didn’t work. Majority of the Spa was closed. Didn’t have make changing rooms or male toilets in the spa. Big queues for breakfast. When finally seated we were sat at a table which was already being used by another couple.When I checked out I asked for an email address to complain to. The receptionist provided it. I’ve given them a chance to respond and offer compensation, but 2 weeks on I have had no response, hence the review.Very poor and not what I would expense from a 4 star hotel. I will not be back

Beautiful hotel in a great location. Room was very clean although the air conditioning and the fan in the bathroom didn't work. I didn't see the point in contacting reception as surely these things should be checked and maintained after each guest checks out!? Also disappointed that we couldn't use the pool. You can only book to use the pool once you have checked in. We checked in at the earliest possible time and phoned to book for a swim only to be told that there was no availability either that evening or the following morning. I'm curious as to how that's possible? On a plus note the entrance to the hotel is very grand and elegant, the staff are lovely and friendly and the smell around the lobby, bar and reception area is beautiful. We had breakfast in the morning, also lovely with plenty choice. The coffee was surprisingly good!

Had a lovely day at the Tea room for my sister in laws birthday. We ordered two of the standard and two of the vegan afternoon tea. They were both excellent. I would recommend getting the vegan one to try as it is equally as good. The service was outstanding as usual. We will definitely be back at Christmas xx

Very long queue when checking in which is understandable, we then was charged twice after checking in one of the lifts was broke again not the hotels staffs fault, Then walking to my room there was a horrible musky smell coming from all of the corridors, me and my partner then walked into the room which was filthy the chair in the room was covered with male stains all over the chair and on the floor was spots of blood looks like the rooms not had a good clean in a while we then complained and they changed us to a different room When the lady brought us a key to a New room said ‘ you’ve not used anything in the room as we’re just going to give it to another guest’ she also made it out like it was our own fault we was charged twice, before checking out they said they’ve put the refund through we have been told it will take 5-10 working days which is fair enough it’s now been 16 days since the stay and still nothing
Poor service poor rooms place needs a good clean wouldn’t recommend it to anyone go to the Edwardian up the road stunning hotel with polite staff who can’t help enough

I came here to stay for 2 nights and it is the best hotel I have ever stayed in! The rooms where very clean and the service was great. On the basement floor there is an amazing pool that also has a spa! The hotel also has a cafe and a restaurant that serve nice things. The hotel has 7 floors - it was the place where the rolls Royce was invented!

O hotel em si é muito bom, e o quarto era limpo e agradável. No entanto, eu achei duas coisas muito estranhas. Chegamos às 21h após um longo dia de viagem e fomos informados de que não havia restaurantes ou comida de bar disponíveis. Apenas serviço de quarto que consistia em Pizza? Eu não gostei disso e, embora um grande hotel no centro da cidade em 2022 tivesse um melhor nível de serviço. Além disso, fui ao bar e pedi uma bebida, e paguei de forma diferente do que o menu dizia que era. Foi essa coisa de taxa de serviço de quarto em estilo americano que notei que está chegando ao Reino Unido! Não, obrigado! O preço que pagamos é o preço pelo qual você anuncia as coisas. Eu não me importaria se alguém entregasse no meu quarto, mas não, eu fiquei no bar e tive que pagar a taxa de serviço?! Absolutamente de jeito nenhum ... por estas razões, eu optaria por não voltar a este hotel no futuro.

The hotel itself is very nice, and the room was clean and pleasant.However, I did find two things very strange.We arrived at 9pm after a long day traveling and were told that there was no restaurants or bar food available.Only room service which consisted of Pizza?I didn't like that and though a major city centre hotel in 2022 would have a better level of service.Also, I went to the bar and ordered a drink myself, and paid differently to what the menu said it was.It was this American-style room service fee thing that I notice is making it's way to the UK!NO thanks!The price we pay is the price you advertise things at.I wouldn't mind if someone delivered it to my room, but no, me stood at the bar and I had to pay the service charge?! Absolutely no way... for these reasons, I would choose not to go back to this hotel in the future.

Fantástico hotel e uma boa base para explorar a cidade. O chá da tarde é imperdível. O café da manhã estava delicioso. Usamos as instalações de spa e piscina. Embora a piscina não seja grande, estava relaxando o jacuzzi estava quente e poderoso. A equipe do spa foi agradável. O quarto era espaçoso, optamos por uma suíte, há barulho do bonde e do tráfego, mas não somos muito dorminhocos, então isso não nos incomodou. Alguns problemas com a limpeza do quarto. Como isso foi prontamente corrigido, com um desconto oferecido e uma rodada de bebidas. Se você estiver visitando Manchester, este hotel não decepcionará 😃

Fantastic hotel and a good base to explore the city. Afternoon tea is a must. Breakfast was delicious. We used the spa and pool facilities. Although the pool isn’t large in size it was relaxing the jacuzzi was hot and powerful. Staff in the spa was pleasant. Room was spacious we opted for a suite, there is noise from tram and traffic but we’re not too much of light sleepers so this didn’t bother us. Couple of issues with the room cleanliness. How’re this was promptly rectified, with a discount offered and a round of drinks. If your visiting Manchester this hotel won’t disappoint 😃
