I will NEVER stay here again. If I could give less than 1 star I would. And would not recommend to my worst enemy.

Great location and large apartment but that's the only positive.
Filthy and smelly apartment. The bottom of our feet were black from walking around in the apartment. Sold as self contained but didn't even have enough plates or cutlery for 4 people.
Run down and dilapidated facilities and rooms. Stayed at Christmas and paid a peak price for a budget room.

SAFE TO SAY DISAPPOINTED, thought I had booked an amazing place for us to spend my dads 50th although instantly regretted it and only got worse to the point where we can’t wait to get home!
Our room:
First off was giving two keys that were broken.
Had an early check in because ‘rooms were ready’ only to walk into a dirty room that smelt like chemicals. If it had just been cleaned there wouldn’t have been hair on the floor, on beds, in the shower etc.
Floors seemed as if they hadn’t been vacuumed and mopped. As well as mirrors and outskirts not been wiped. The curtains are filthy with stains all over them. (With the price of the hotel compared to others I’m sure they can rack up money to fix)
The room has a whole in the roof (missing plaster) and in my opinion needs to be fixed; before it gets worse and in the meantime someone shouldn’t be staying in there. Safe to say overpriced for the quality you get.
Currently am scratching like crazy and have these bites all over me (again I have photos no exaggeration!) seemed as if bed bugs bite according to a doctor.
Resort as is:
As soon as we walked in, the reception smelt no word of a lie like a public toilet and that’s no exaggeration. Lingers along the resort.
Staff:
Managers/receptionists were okay, helped with taxis although were a little blaze about
a Local 3 meter carpet python, which we as a family would have loved to be warned about prior to staying. Or simply have it removed. If you choose to stay here, be very careful.
Resources:
Pools are extremely dirty. Although have a great view and plenty of seating around it.
Location:
Resort is located just behind Main Street although up a steep hill the walk up is painful on a humid day!
Overall:
Wouldn’t stay here again although will definitely come back to Airlie and stay elsewhere.
I cant stress enough how much I don’t recommend at all, ruined my trip 😭

The staff that we interacted with at the property were very nice, and the location really can not be beat for the price. However, when we got to our room there was a shaving razor in the bathroom from the previous guests, which made us question the cleanliness of the place. We were also surprised by how limited the bedding was, the beds only had a top sheet on them and only one extra blanket was provided in a closet. The pool area of the hotel is really nice, and we enjoyed our time there. The view from our room was also stunning! If this place not a Reno it would be great.

Stayed in room 35, avoid were possible. Paid premium fee for a dirty, mouldy rundown 2 bedroom apartment. The couch had holes in it and was stained and filthy. Mould in bathrooms and on deck. Reception staff were uninviting and we felt more like an inconvenience than anything else. The only thing great about this place now is location and views. Would never stay again

We absolutely loved our stay, the accommodation is in the perfect location, the pools have a spectacular view of the water (just like the pictures!) as did our room.
We were nervous because we had read some of the previous reviews but we found Waters Edge Resort to be perfect for our family!
We stayed in Room 12 and it’s was clean, spacious and comfortable. It had beautiful views from the lounge room, main bedroom and balcony.
The staff we kind and helpful. We would definitely stay again next time we are in Airlie Beach.
